It was built on a hill and there were many turtles in the pond. It was built in 1890. This temple is the largest Mahayana Chinese Buddhist temple in Malaysia and has a long history since the Chinese Emperor of the Manchu period gave the inscriptions and Tripitaka and donations to build this temple. Including the Thai King Rama VI who gave his personal funds to build a 7-storey pagoda and King Rama IX gave a large Buddha statue to this temple.
