New Zealand Day 1 | Auckland Day Trip

Started at 9 am, left at 10 am 📍First stop: Queen Street. The street has many shops and restaurants. After buying souvenirs and having roast duck rice, we started our city walk. 📍Second stop: St. Matthew's Cathedral (St. Matthew-in-the-city). Built in 1905, it's a beautiful Gothic building. 📍Third stop: Auckland Art Gallery. Before visiting, staff will remind you to carry your bags or store them for free. There are many free art exhibitions on the day of your visit, so immerse yourself in art. There are shops at the entrance and a café nearby, perfect for a break. 📍Fourth stop: Albert Park. The park is right next to the art gallery. It has many magnificent trees and large lawns, making it a perfect camping spot. The University of Auckland is right next to the park. 📍Fifth stop: Oyster and Chop & Island Gelato Co. CBD Ferry Terminal. Both shops are located by the ferry terminal. The first shop has happy hour from 3-5 pm. Oyster knives are 2 each, minimum order 6 oysters. They sell completely raw oysters, which I personally didn't like. The ice cream is next to the pier; you can buy your ice cream before boarding the ferry. They offer samples; I ordered chocolate and peanut butter flavors, two scoops for only $12.12 (including processing fee) – both were great, highly recommended! 📍Sixth Stop: Devonport & Mount Victoria Take the ferry directly from the downtown pier using your Visa card; the journey takes about ten minutes. After disembarking, you can stroll along the beach and walk up Mount Victoria for panoramic views of the city and the sea! Many people wait here for the sunset, experiencing the Southern Hemisphere's sunset. 📍Seventh Stop: Amano Restaurant It's a 6-minute walk from the downtown pier after returning from Devonport. This popular restaurant lives up to its reputation; it was packed and had a great atmosphere. I ordered lamb chops, langoustines pasta, and hot chocolate. The taste was okay, but the pasta was a bit salty. Having learned from my previous experience, I ordered the lamb chops medium-rare this time, and they ended up being about medium-well, very easy to eat. The bill came to $103.27. Feeling satisfied, we walked back to the hotel to rest!
