Sakura Park & Haight’s Place in Atok Benguet

For Filipinos, they need not go to another country like Japan to see Cherry blossoms for themselves, up close. They only have to go to Sakura Park and Haight’s Place in Atok, Benguet in the northern part of the country. The place has been growing cherry blossom trees for years now (2018). According to them, the trees were given as gifts by the Embassy of Japan and the Kochi Prefecture back then. With a temperature that somewhat similar to Japan where these sakura trees abound, some have survived. The best time to visit is in March-April where they bloom. There are also a lot of pink daisies which adds to the beauty of the park.
