We tasted the local specialty sweets "potato cake" and "milk yokan", which were very delicious. Day 2: Otaru City We rented a car and headed to another famous city in Hokkaido - Otaru. This small city is known for its historic buildings and beautiful canals. We strolled around the famous Otaru Canal and Xingye Night Market, and also tasted local seafood dishes. In the evening, we returned to Sapporo and experienced the local nightlife. Day 3: Asahiyama Zoo As one of the most famous zoos in Hokkaido, Asahiyama Zoo is home to many animals from the Arctic Circle, including polar bears, penguins, and sea lions. We participated in the "Polar Bear Walk" activity and saw the lively and cute polar bears running in the snow.
