Aqaba - the only coastal city in Jordan

Aqaba is a coastal city in far southern Jordan, capital of Aqaba Governorate at the head of the Gulf of Aqaba. Aqaba is strategically important to Jordan as it is the country's only port. High season (May) The weather is perfect across Jordan with warm days and cool nights. Northern Jordan is covered in wildflowers in April. Normal season (September–February) Best time to visit the Red Sea; Prices in and around Aqaba increased accordingly. White nights in the desert with rain or snow are full of activities, such as camping. Low season (June–August) The deserts in mid-summer are extreme. Temperatures across Jordan can be stifling. Their prices are best but many places close during low season.
