Must-visit autumn spots: The highland lake at Fu'ao Pond reflects the red maples on the shore, making it an excellent spot for capturing autumn reflections; the Manyun plank road is lined with gradually changing trees, allowing you to immerse yourself in the romantic experience of "stepping on autumn leaves and hearing the rustling"; around the First Waterfall of Dongjiang, autumn waters flow alongside red and yellow shrubs, and the sunlight refracting through the mist creates stunning photos. For a panoramic view, climb Siyuan Baoding to overlook the valley dyed in autumn colors and the winding Dongjiang River. 2. Featured routes: For a half-day trip, choose Route A. Take the cable car from the main gate visitor center up the mountain, then visit Fu'ao Pond, the glass sky bridge, the glass plank road, and finally the First Waterfall of Dongjiang. This 2-3 hour route lets you easily enjoy the core autumn scenery; for a deeper experience, choose Route B. Take a boat from the north gate to cruise through Dongfeng Lake, enjoy the red leaves reflecting on the clear water, then visit Longtan and Qingxin Waterfall, among others. The glass sky bridge and viewing platform are popular autumn photo spots, offering unobstructed views of the canyon’s fall colors below. Autumn-exclusive experiences: The camping base at the Dongfeng Lake pier is perfect for autumn camping, where you can stargaze at night and likely encounter morning mist swirling around the forest at dawn. Reservations can be made in advance; after descending, visit the Sanbai Mountain Hot Spring Resort to soak in selenium-rich hot springs, which will warm you up and relieve hiking fatigue. The children's water play area is also great for family fun. In November, the orange orchards are ripe, and you can go to Hezi Town’s orange orchards to pick fresh, sweet, and juicy navel oranges.
