Hidden activities in Changbai Mountain! Hiking with kids in the snowy forest, having so much fun we didn’t want to leave

Visiting Changbai Mountain with kids in winter, we didn’t go to Tianchi Lake or Xueling, but chose a very off-the-beaten-path original forest snow hike, and ended up not wanting to go home! It turns out my choice was absolutely right😻 - Hiking in the forest❄️, seeing the thick snow, I couldn’t help but step on it. One step in, my knee instantly disappeared into the fluffy white snow. The kids also loved the snow here, stepping around on the powdery snow was especially fun, and the crunching sound was so stress-relieving! Who would understand! Even I couldn’t help but roll around on it😍 - Only after entering here did I realize this original snowy forest is far more colorful than imagined—on the pure white snow, scattered brown pine needles had fallen, and not far away were footprints of unknown small animals🦊, lightly imprinted on the snow, extending deep into the dense forest. - The guide also told us that trees🌲 have a magical “hibernation spell” in winter— Broadleaf trees choose to drop all their leaves, storing all their energy in the trunk and future buds; while pine trees ‘travel light,’ their needles come with a cold-resistant coating, allowing them to perform weak photosynthesis even in winter.” It’s like “plant moms have their ways” brought to life, and the kids exclaimed how amazing it was❗️ - Afterwards, we also played with sledding on car-towed snow tubes, ate iron pot stew, made dumplings, ate frozen pears, set off fireworks… this day’s experience was simply amazing💥 - Every guide was very enthusiastic and thoughtful, helping with the kids, sharing knowledge patiently, and responding to every request. Several families with kids of similar ages hiked together and chatted happily, having a super fun time🥳 - If you also want to take your kids to experience a different side of Changbai Mountain, try this off-the-beaten-path hike! Fewer people, beautiful scenery, lots of knowledge, definitely worth the trip!
