Clothing ● Winter: It’s super cold, so be sure to wear a thick down jacket, fleece-lined thermal pants, waterproof and non-slip snow boots, thick gloves, scarf, and hat. It’s best to also bring heat packs to stick on your body and soles of your feet for warmth and comfort. ● Summer: Although the temperature is relatively higher, it’s still cool on the mountain. Bring a long-sleeve jacket and long pants for the big temperature difference between morning and evening. Transportation Guide External Transportation ● Airplane: You can fly to Changbai Mountain Airport, which is quite close to the scenic area. After landing, you can take a taxi or airport shuttle bus to the scenic area. ● Train: Take a train to Baihe Station, which is near the northern scenic area of Changbai Mountain. There are many vehicles going to the scenic area right outside the station. Internal Transportation ● Scenic Area Bus: Changbai Mountain scenic area is very large, and there are shuttle buses connecting various attractions. Be sure to take the bus; walking would be too exhausting. ● Transfer Vehicle: To visit the main peak of Changbai Mountain and see Tianchi (Heaven Lake), you need to take a transfer vehicle, which is a cool off-road vehicle🚙 Attractions Tianchi (Heaven Lake) This is the signature attraction of Changbai Mountain, like a huge sapphire embedded on the mountaintop. The lake looks different in each season.
