The largest hot spring group in Changbai Mountain - Julong Spring

The Julong Spring in the Changbai Mountain Hot Spring Group is located in the northern scenic area of the Changbai Mountain Volcano National Geopark in Jilin Province. It is a high-temperature volcanic self-overflow hot spring and the largest hot spring group in Changbai Mountain. Within an area of more than 1,000 square meters, there are hundreds of spring mouths, which continuously spout boiling hot water from the cracks in the rocks all day long, like a group of dragons spitting beads, hence the name Julong Spring. Due to the mineral ions such as iron, copper, magnesium, and manganese contained in the sulfurized water of the hot spring group, they overflow, decompress, and accumulate on the surface, forming mineralized layers of red-brown, emerald green, dark purple, and golden yellow, like a natural oil painting, hanging in the canyon, colorful and beautiful. The water temperature of the Changbai Mountain Hot Spring Group is usually above 60 degrees Celsius, and can reach up to more than 80 degrees Celsius. It is said that these hot springs are rich in trace elements such as hydrogen sulfide, zinc, and lithium, and are known as "divine water", which is beneficial to health, can relax muscles and activate blood circulation, dispel cold and disease, relieve fatigue, and promote blood circulation and metabolism.
