🐻 Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center Located at the entrance to Portage Valley, about 45 miles (72 km) south of Anchorage, it is a non-profit rescue shelter dedicated to the conservation and restoration of native Alaskan animals. You can get up close to grizzly bears, black bears, elk, buffalo, musk oxen, etc., most of which are free to move around in a large, near-natural outdoor environment. • Open daily until 7pm in the summer, free downtown shuttle buses are also available, making it a great place to arrange a half-day trip. • Adult tickets are about 27 USD, and children are 22 USD (free for children under 3 years old). The center also regularly hosts educational tours and wildlife interactions. 🚡 Girdwood + Alyeska Cable Car Experience It takes less than an hour to drive to the small town of Girdwood, where you can find the most beautiful alpine sightseeing cable car in Alaska: ❄️ Alyeska Aerial Tram • The aerial cable car system designed by Swiss Von Roll runs slowly for about 7 minutes in summer (the fastest 4 minutes in winter) directly to the top of the mountain at an altitude of 2,300 feet (about 700 meters)  . • The panoramic platform overlooks the Chugach Mountains, Turnagain Arm waterscape and glaciers. On sunny days, you can even identify bears and elk in the mountains . • Tickets are 43–48 USD for adults and 33–38 USD for youth (free for children under 6 years old); you can save 5 yuan per person by booking tickets online. • There is a small restaurant and the famous Seven Glaciers restaurant on the top of the mountain, which is suitable for tea or dining. After dinner, you can walk to explore the mountain trails and then take the cable car down the mountain (some tickets can take the cable car back for free) . #5月好去处2025
