Netherlands Travel Day｜Rijksmuseum Amsterdam

When traveling to a country, you must visit the local museums. On the first day of our trip to the Netherlands, we checked in at the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam (also known as the Dutch National Museum). This museum was founded in 1798 and officially opened to the public in 1808. The entire building is as grand as a palace, and the new building constructed in 1885 is a Gothic-style structure, adding some unique charm to the museum. It is recommended to get a guide map on the 0th floor after entering the museum to locate the exhibits you want to see. 🎧 You can rent a Chinese audio guide on the 0th floor (about 6 euros). You can also connect to the museum's wifi and download the museum app, which also has a Chinese audio guide (most of the explanations are concentrated on the second floor). 💼 There are lockers on the 0th floor where you can store your belongings (probably free of charge). 🍽️ There is a restaurant where you can eat and rest if you get hungry. You may need to queue during meal times (about ten minutes wait). 🕙 Recommended visit time: It is best to set aside three to four hours. The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam is a treasure trove of art, history, and culture, and an important window to understand Dutch and even European art and culture.
