Amman Roman Theater

The **Roman Theater** in Amman is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in Jordan. Located on a hillside in the city center, it coexists with modern buildings, exuding a historical atmosphere. Built in the 2nd century AD, the theater could accommodate about 6,000 spectators. It still retains its impressive tiered seating. As I climbed the steep stone steps, I could feel the scenes of people watching performances here thousands of years ago. Standing at the top and overlooking the entire theater, not only is the view excellent, but you can also gaze at the white buildings of Amman's old town. Next to the theater are the Jordan Folklore Museum and the Jordan Museum of Popular Traditions, which display traditional costumes, handicrafts, and cultural life from various parts of Jordan, adding more details to this historical journey. This ancient theater is not only a historical site but is still used for concerts and cultural events today, intertwining the ancient and modern on this stage, showcasing Amman's unique charm.
