The Beautiful Bukit Hijau Waterfall

Bukit Hijau Waterfall, Baling of Kedah is about 44km away from Sungai Petani and about an hour drive. It is famous for its beautiful different levels of cascading waterfalls, the rock formations, and its natural beautiful forest surrounding. At the lower part of the stream, there are some big pools, and it is moderately kept. At the middle of the 15-20-minute walk to the upper stream you can see a hidden waterfall. At the upper stream which is the top waterfall, you can see a beautiful stream and jungle scenery. The water is crystal clear, and this place is usually packed during weekends. This waterfall has nice pools, but the slopes are too steep. Fences have been erected to avoid accidents. Still worth a visit. The coolness of the stream, the beauty of the waterfall and its nature can be an escape from the restless city life.
