2024 Almaty Food Festival! Feel the Chill of Almaty

Come to Almaty for the 2024 Almaty Food Festival on August 24-25. Abay Square in Almaty will transform into a culinary capital, featuring over 50 restaurants and more than 30 stalls of farm products and handicrafts from around the world. The air will be filled with enticing food aromas, allowing you to taste different cuisines anytime and anywhere, experiencing the fusion of various cultures. This grand event also brings together top chefs from China, Iran, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan. The festival will include cooking competitions, masterclasses, food shows, and musical performances, offering multiple interactive segments. The second day features a barbecue showdown, inviting young chefs (all under 35 years old) from Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries. These chefs hail from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Belarus, Tajikistan, and China! The air will be filled with the aroma of barbecues from different countries, with chefs showcasing their unique skills. Our Chinese chef will first carve an apple to demonstrate his exquisite knife skills, while the Belarusian chef will finely chop and organize ingredients by color. Chefs from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Iran will focus on meat preparation, with the tantalizing scent of charcoal-grilled meat filling the air! Each dish carries the culinary culture and traditions of its respective country. There will also be traditional stilt performances from Kazakhstan, with local performers dressed in unique Kazakh national costumes interacting with festival-goers, instantly transporting us to the exotic charm of Central Asia. You will deeply feel the Chill of Almaty on-site, with everyone enthusiastically participating in interactions, dancing together in the square, and being deeply moved by their infectious energy!
