Charming Italian coast

#beachlife A small town on the north western coast of Sardinia. Famous for being a Catalan-speaking town, thanks to the fact that for a long time it was under Catalan influence, Alghero is a great place to visit year-round but it becomes fully alive during the summer months. It gives you the option of several beaches. Among the best beaches in Alghero there is Le Bombarde and right next to it, Lazzaretto beach. Both are small coves surrounded by a thick forest of Mediterranean pine trees populated by thousands of cicadas whose sound is almost deafening – in an absolutely pleasant way. Mugoni is another beloved beach, a favorite of locals and offering views of Capo Caccia (also visible from town), a promontory from where you can enjoy perfect sunset views and where you’ll find walking and hiking trails. Alghero, Sardinia Alghero is a charming coastal town on Sardinia’s northwest coast, known for its Catalan heritage, medieval old town, and stunning seaside views. Narrow cobblestone streets, historic walls, and warm-colored buildings create a unique atmosphere, while the waterfront promenade offers beautiful sunsets and a relaxed Mediterranean vibe. The area is surrounded by impressive natural beauty, including sandy beaches, turquoise bays, and the famous Neptune’s Grotto. Alghero also stands out for its excellent seafood, local wines, and lively piazzas, making it one of Sardinia’s most inviting and picturesque destinations.
