Situated on the Mediterranean coast, the entrance fee is around 60 EGP (about $2), making it very affordable. The fort, built in the 15th century on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, offers breathtaking views of the sea and the city. Walking through the well-preserved walls and towers was like stepping back in time. The history and architecture are fascinating, and the sea breeze made the visit even more enjoyable. Nearby, I strolled along the Corniche and visited the Alexandria Library.
