Alberobello is situated in the Bari province of the Puglia region, at the southernmost part of Italy, 🔜 in the heart of the Valle d'Itria, a small town with a population of only about ten thousand. - The town is neither too big nor too small, with its roads presented in two forms: flat cement roads and uneven cobblestone paths, which together create this unique town. - 🌟Highlights: Alberobello means 'beautiful oak tree,' and indeed, the town lives up to its name as 'heaven.' The Mediterranean climate always seems to make the sky incredibly blue, and the stone-roofed houses are especially white, presenting a simple yet striking contrast of blue and white. 👍Most recommended: Walking through the streets of the town often gives one an 'unreal' feeling, as if you are in a fairy tale world. - ➡️The unique grey conical roofs and pure white walls of the houses are in the typical Trulli style. Everywhere you look are these grey and white stone-roofed houses, 🎶legend has it that they were built by refugees from wars or defeated nations in the 16th century. ✅To avoid taxes, the roofs were made of stone slabs that could be quickly dismantled when the tax collector came, so without a roof, they weren't considered houses. - ‼️How should one enjoy Alberobello❓❓ ⭕️Alberobello is centered around a main street, with the Rione Monti on one side and the Rione Aia Piccola on the other. Rione Monti is the old town area, with more Trulli houses than in Rione Aia Piccola. - 1️⃣Be a 'tourist' in Rione Monti Rione Monti is located on the south side of Alberobello, an area densely packed with Trulli architecture, with over 1000 Trulli of various sizes scattered across the hillside, a beautiful sight. - 2️⃣Visit the Rione Aia Piccola where locals live Rione Aia Piccola is on the other side of the main street, with 400 authentic Trulli buildings. Unlike Rione Monti, the houses here are not painted white but retain the original stone color. - 3️⃣View the town from the observation deck The observation deck is, of course, a recommended spot for overlooking the town, located between the People's Square and the parking lot. From the observation deck, the conical-roofed houses in the distance look like little elf hats, very cute.
