The ancient city of AlUla on the weekend

AlUla is an important settlement on the pilgrimage route from Damascus to Mecca that dates back over a thousand years, and it is also a crossroads for the spice trade. The ancient city contains more than 900 mudbrick buildings, over 400 shops, and 5 plazas, creating a vision of 10th-century Saudi Arabia painted in rock and mudbrick. Wandering through the maze of intersecting alleys is like walking in a miniature version of the ancient Arab world. Likewise, it's best to come after 4 pm, as the evening is the liveliest time here. Under the embellishment of twilight and lights, people stroll leisurely or find a shop to sit down in, forgetting all their worries, to truly experience the simplicity and comfort of the old city.
