Hike: Le Tholonet to Lac Zola

Getting There - the starting point of Le Crémade Nord (not to be confused with the bus station 50 minutes away!) is only a 20 minute drive from Aix-en-Provence city center! 🚗 I would recommend renting a car when visiting Provence to make the most of the area. We parked by a nearby restaurant (please see last picture!). Attractions - this may be a less well known hike, but very good for a quick getaway from the city center into the wilderness. The view of Montaigne Ste Victoire ⛰ was stunning, although Lac Zola 💧 itself was a bit underwhelming. Those who enjoy mountain views (like me) will love it, those who enjoy the water, not so much. Other Details - good for beginner hikers 🐾 as the whole journey only took around 2 hours there and back. Perhaps start the hike at 14:00 to miss the heat at its peak! ☀️ #aixenprovence #france #hike #europe
