Beach Vibes & Ancient Walls

#summervacay Gonio is this cool little spot just outside Batumi that totally surprised me. You’ve got beachy vibes and ancient Roman ruins all in one place kinda wild combo, but it works. The beach is super chill, not crazy crowded, and the water is warm enough to just float around and forget what day it is. But the real gem? The Gonio Fortress. It’s massive, with these thick stone walls and towers that make you feel like you’ve time-traveled or something. You can walk along the top, explore the inside, and just imagine all the history that went down there, so cool. There are a few beach bars and local cafés around, and the food’s solid, think fresh fish, cold drinks, and super laid-back service. You can spend the day flipping between beach mode and mini history buff mode, and it never gets boring. If you’re in Batumi and wanna escape the bustle for a bit, Gonio is an easy win. Super chill, super pretty, and low-key awesome.
