Hanamomo no Sato

Right next to Sonohara Interchange. Achi Village, Nagano Prefecture, is known as the village with the most beautiful starry sky in Japan. Here, from mid-April to early May, many flowering trees called hanamomo bloom beautifully. There are more than 5,000 of them. Achi Village has planted many "sanshoku hanamomo" trees that bloom in three colors: red, white, and pink. It is an unusual flowering tree that blooms with flowers of different colors on one tree. It is said that it has not yet been clarified why different colored flowers bloom on the same tree.
