Exploring Jade Dragon Snow Mountain 🏔❄️ ✈️ Traveling from Bangkok to Lijiang and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was an unforgettable experience. We chose to fly from Bangkok to Kunming and then took a comfortable high-speed train to Lijiang 🚄. 🏔 The highlight of this trip was taking the large cable car up to the peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to enjoy the breathtaking views. Luckily, the weather was favorable, allowing us to reach the summit successfully. We also spent time exploring various spots within the vast park. ❄️ Even though we visited in April, the weather was still cold with occasional light rain, but it didn’t hinder our enjoyment of the stunning scenery. Another must-see is the cultural show held in the park, which beautifully reflects the harmony between culture and nature. Average cost per person: Around 1,000 THB, including entrance fee, cable car, show, and lunch [boiled chicken with vegetables, mostly vegetarian]. Rating: 10/10 – We were thoroughly impressed.

Another very beautiful park in China. On our Kunming trip, we went to Shangri-La and Lijiang. This park was the first place we put on our plan, which was ‘Jade Dragon Snow Mountain’...🚐 We started our trip at 5 am because we had an appointment with the driver. The car was an SUV that was a deal with the accommodation. We would share the car with 3 other tourists both on the way there and back. —- 🏞️ We took the bus into the park and they will drop us off at Blue Moon Valley first. At this point, we can walk and take pictures. There will be a long path for tourists to walk in the park. If you can’t walk, you can wait for a golf cart at the pick-up point. You can take any car because it is a car that circles inside to pick up and drop off tourists. This point is very beautiful for taking pictures. You can see the view of trees, lakes, and mountains with colors that you can see with your own eyes. The colors are very cute. We were very lucky that the sky was clear and the light was very beautiful. —- 🍲 In the afternoon, we took the bus to The Black Dragon Park because we would have lunch here. The price of this hot pot includes everything when we pay for the park ticket + driver + lunch. I don't know what this hot pot is called, but the soup is very delicious. —- 🚠 Then we take the cable car to the top of the mountain. This will only drop off tourists up to 4506m. After that, we have to walk up the path to the top ourselves. But the park has a very good path. Standing at an elevation of 5,596 meters above sea level, it is a 5A-rated tourist attraction in China, located in Lijiang. During our visit in early December, there was no snowfall yet, so the mountain peaks were not covered in snow.

🏖️ Must-Visit Attractions Day 1 Baisha Ancient Town Day 2 🏔️Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Shuhe Ancient Town, Lashihai Wetlands Day 3 Lijiang City Day 4 🐯 Tiger Leaping Gorge hike 🏠 Accommodation NO.37（Baisha Ancient Town）37 庭院 （白沙古镇店) We stayed 3 nights at this nice and cosy accommodation at Baisha Ancient Town. The host is very nice to upgrade us to the loft unit apartment and we get a very good view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the bedroom on a clear day. The location is central and you can walk to the ancient town and it is the nearest town to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. We also visited the other two ancient cities, Shuhe and Lijiang. We visited Lashihai Wetlands in the evening and is very scenic and peaceful.

Sharing experiences from May 3-11, 2025.. Last October, I came to Yunnan once with a tour, which I thought was not enough, so I wanted to come again. It was a world-opener because I can't speak Chinese, even though I'm very Chinese. I tried to speak English, but it turned out to be Chinese, lol. But it was fun in a different way. The itinerary is as follows: Day 1: Bkk - Kunming, walk around the Golden Horse Gate and Emerald Chicken / Shuncheng Shopping Centre / Nanpingjia Street / Kunming New World Shopping Day 2: Walk to see the jasmine flowers at Jiaochang Middle Road, walk around the old town of Kunming / Ruo'an Duiyuelou Boutique Hotel (昆明若安对月楼酒店) / Aocheng Department Store, a circular building Day 3: Bye bye Kunming, take the high-speed train to Lijiang, walk around the old town Eat noodles across the bridge Day 4: Explore the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain / Blue Moon Valley Didn't watch the show because I wasn't really into it, so I went to Yun Ti Yang Cafe Day 5: Bye bye Lijiang, take the high speed train to Shangri-La, stay around Napahai Day 6: Stop by Heidou Cafe (黑豆咖啡厅), travel to Dukezong Ancient Town / Go to Songzanlin Temple (噶丹松赞林寺), take pictures of local costumes, then return to the old town Day 7: One day trip to Meili Snow Mountains, meet at 3 am to see the first light shining on Meili Mountain / Stop at various stops such as the first bend of the Yangtze River, Napahai Plain, which we were very tired from Arrive at the old city around 3 pm, find something to eat, sleep for a while, then go to Guishan Temple / Dafo Temple Day 8: Visit Balagazong Mountain & Shambala all day 8.30 am, arrive at the old city around 5 pm, walk around, prepare to return Day 9: Return to Thailand by plane from Shang for about 1 hour, transit at Kunming for about 2 hours, then fly back to Thailand for another 2 hours.
