Just wrapped up an unforgettable Perth road trip and it was absolutely magical! 🚗✨ We had the perfect sunny day to see the famous Pink Lake — the colors were unreal. Hopped over to Rottnest Island and finally met the cutest quokkas 🐾 (yes, they really do smile!). At Kalbarri, we were lucky enough to spot whales, which felt like a once-in-a-lifetime moment. One of the highlights was swimming with sea lions — such playful and curious creatures, it felt surreal being in the water with them. Of course, we indulged in endless fish and chips by the coast, and the seafood did not disappoint: fresh mussels and lobster that were simply delicious 🦞🦪. To top it all off, we were there during the yellow flower season — the landscapes were covered in vibrant blooms, making every drive picture-perfect 🌼. Perth and its surrounds gave us adventure, food, nature, and pure joy all in one trip. The striking pink Color s caused by the algae dunaliella salina in high salinity water. Very popular place and people drove a long way to see this. Best to see around 11am when the pink colour was so vibrant.

#holidayitinerary The Pink Lake at Port Gregory is such a fun and weird little stop. The color is super bright when the sun's out, like a giant strawberry milkshake. It's caused by some kind of algae and salt combo, and the shade changes depending on the time of day and weather. We went late morning and it was seriously glowing. There’s no big tourist setup or anything, just a few spots to pull over and snap photos. You can walk right up to the edge, but don’t expect a swim, it’s more of a look-and-go kind of place. The wind was wild when we were there, so maybe bring a hat that won’t fly away. Easy to add to your route if you’re driving between Kalbarri and Geraldton. There’s a small town nearby with a café and fuel if you need it. It’s a quick stop, but the color is so unreal it’s totally worth pulling over for. Just a fun, totally random Aussie highlight.

Great place if you want a short getaway for sightseeing and adventures, not much night activities and most retail shops closed at 6pm. Visited the pink lake at Hutt lagoon , kalbarri national park with spectacular greenery views. Do note that the outskirts areas may not have connections most of the time.
