#cruisetrip I recently returned from an unforgettable Mediterranean cruise, and I’m still buzzing from the experience! 🛳️ The journey took me to three stunning destinations: Malta, Cyprus, and Mallorca, each offering its own unique charm and beauty. First stop was Malta, and let me tell you, Valletta is like stepping into a postcard. The architecture is incredible, and St. John’s Co-Cathedral is a must-see. We spent the day wandering the narrow streets, soaking in the history. The entrance fee for the cathedral was around €15, but it’s worth every cent for the intricate interiors alone. Plus, the harbor views are just breathtaking. 🌅 Next up was Cyprus, where we docked in Limassol. From there, we took a short trip to the ancient city of Kourion. The ruins, especially the amphitheater overlooking the sea, were absolutely stunning. Cyprus is a blend of ancient history and beautiful beaches, and the local food was a highlight—don’t miss out on trying some traditional meze! 🍽️ We spent the afternoon lounging at Lady’s Mile Beach, a perfect spot for relaxation. At first glance, the street with its huge slope is simply astonishing! The old Mint Street is definitely the most photographed characteristic old street in the ancient city of Valletta! Although it's called Mint Street, it actually means 'coinage'. This place was once the site of a coin minting factory during the time of the Knights, hence the name Mint Street. Walking on the old Mint Street, you can see at a glance that the long street forms a U-shaped slope along the terrain, making you want to rush down all the way! At the end of the street, there's a Baroque-style domed church, and in the distance, the Mediterranean backdrop of blue sky and sea is simply breathtaking! Hidden in the heart of The Phoenicia Malta is the Palm Court Lounge with its comfy sofas and welcoming décor. It is the perfect place to relax with a tea and heavenly homemade pastry. For a modest price, we enjoyed a selection of finger cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry preserve, also an irresistible selection of pastries and teacakes, all freshly prepared. It is called the United Nations Day, an exhibition to celebrate UN77 years anniversary and this colorful designed "Enlightened Universe" by Mr. Cristobal Gabarron entitled Colors of Hope, it was originally began in New York in the year 2015 and travel to different country every year from October to December to show the Unity of different countries. Parliament House and Courts of Justice in the capital of Malta are two important buildings, because they represent the legislative and judiciary branches of the nation. The former is the meeting place of the Parliament of Malta and this new building constructed between 2011 and 2015 is controversial because of the modern design and the high cost. Many have compared the cladding design to a cheese grater or a dovecote. I certainly do think it looks unique though. The Courts of Justice building does not look extraordinarily special as it is built in the neoclassical style in late 1960s. It is worth mentioning because the trial for the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia took place during my visit to Malta on the 14 October 2022. #fallingforfall #malta #valletta

Saint Andrew Scots Church is a church of Scotland Church in Valetta and was built in 1857 and it is the first non-Gothic church in Malta. Built very much in a British protestant style, in fact it looks very much like any village church that you will find throughout the United Kingdom.
