Every now and then, I put aside work and study deadlines and go to Tam Dao to relax for 2 days, blowing away all the worries in life. Around October, Tam Dao starts to get chilly in the early morning and late afternoon. In the morning, I wake up to have breakfast, go to Cafe Quan Gio to sip a cup of coffee and chat with the board of directors, then in the evening, I go for a walk around the square, the weather is chilly, I drink next to the hot pot and run out of dipping sauce... We started by taking a bus from Hanoi to Vinh Yen for 90k, then we rode a motorbike about 30km to Tam Dao. I must say the weather was quite good, the whole motorbike ride to Tam Dao was nice and there was no rain, when we got there it started to rain and then stopped. We stayed at a motel nearby for convenience by motorbike to the desired locations, a night's stay cost 500k, two beds. When we arrived, we were truly overwhelmed by the beauty of Tam Dao. If you want to travel cheaply and reasonably, I think you should choose to go to Tam Dao. In Tam Dao, there are many homestays for you to choose from, I went in a hurry and also wanted to return quickly, so I chose a room mainly for convenience of moving and returning early in the morning. It takes about 1 hour from Noi Bai Airport. There is public transportation, but it takes quite a while and you have to transfer many times. We like Tam Dao. The atmosphere is good, the weather is cool. When we went, it was early April, at 18-25 degrees, and there was very thick fog at night. Walking around is relaxing. It feels like a mountain in northern Thailand. The people are lovely and welcoming tourists. There are golf carts to drive around the city to various tourist attractions.
