Included in the Swiss Travel Pass, it felt like a perfect blend of history and value. As we climbed up to the castle, we were excited to discover its well-preserved knight’s hall, fascinating exhibits, and impressive medieval architecture. Reaching the top was an absolute highlight—standing in the tower, we were treated to breathtaking views of Thun’s charming rooftops, the sparkling Lake Thun, and the majestic Alps in the distance. The climb was more than worth it, and the castle’s blend of history and scenery made it an unforgettable stop on our journey.

Switzerland is a picturesque and poetic place, and it is beautiful to walk around casually. There are many small towns along the lake near Interlaken, and many magnificent buildings have been preserved. Thun castle in Thun is open to visitors. Boutique Hotel Schloßberg 3* Food & Restaurants - on Aarequai (photo 5) there are many restaurants with outside terrace where you can enjoy the scenic Aare river Shopping - the main shopping street is Baelliz which is pedestrian.
