#flowerblossom #100waysoftravel Flower viewing is part of my hobby and this time, I traveled down to view the blossoming of sunflower. There is a vast field with tens of thousands of sunflower being planted at the flower bed, and the blossoming is peak at that time. You can see the vast yellow flower in the middle of Taebaek mountain which gives you a very nice scenery behind the scene. Besides, there are also wild cosmos beside the sunflowers and this adds more colours to the picture. Journey could be a bit far and hilly but it's worth the travel. Will definitely do this again.

#summervacay Stumbled upon Geomryeongso and honestly? It’s a little slice of magic tucked away in the mountains. Super low-key, not flashy at all, but that’s kinda what makes it awesome. It’s one of those places where you don’t expect much, then suddenly you’re like, “Wait, why is this so peaceful and perfect?” The water there is insanely clear, like, you can see straight to the bottom, no filter needed. And the sound of it trickling out of the rock? Weirdly calming. I ended up just sitting there doing absolutely nothing for like 30 minutes. No regrets. The trail to get there is easy-breezy. Just enough nature to feel like you “hiked,” but not enough to wreck your knees. Perfect lazy adventure day. Didn’t see many people, which made it feel like a hidden gem. Definitely bring snacks and chill by the water for a bit. Geomryeongso isn’t loud or dramatic, it’s just quietly beautiful. Total reset for the brain.

Near Bridge is a must-visit café in Taebaek for their delicious Injeolmi Cream Latte. I recently visited this café and was impressed by their presentation. The latte is topped with three soft and chewy injeolmi pieces as decoration. The drink itself has distinct layers of milk, espresso, and soybean powder cream, making it enjoyable to sip, much like a black sesame latte. The combination of nutty injeolmi and rich espresso creates a harmonious flavor that is truly delightful. The interior of the café spans two floors, featuring a charming mix of brick walls and wooden Lego-style decorations. While you're in the area, consider visiting the nearby 365 Safe Town for a complete experience.

A new café called Guwau has opened near the Taebaek Sunflower Festival venue. I used to just visit the festival and leave, but now there's a café, which is great! The Guwau Latte, topped with nuts, has a rich and nutty flavor that makes for a delightful coffee experience. They also serve handmade thick and juicy Korean beef patties, which are absolutely delicious. The interior of the café is stylish and well-designed.

True to its name, this cafe is located at the end of the road in Jangseong-dong, Taebaek, on the beautifully named Magnolia Road 72. I visited Cafe Road End and was greeted by the charming scenery of Jangseong-dong. The view of Taebaek is absolutely stunning. The space is spacious with high ceilings, filled with plants, and exudes a warm atmosphere. The coffee and desserts are delicious. The cafe also serves as a multi-cultural space, hosting various exhibitions, showcasing diverse attempts and a spirit of coexistence.

#summervacay Finally made the hike up to Cheonjedan and, it was way cooler than I expected. The trail itself is a nice mix of forest paths and rocky steps, not too hard but enough to get your heart going. Felt like I was walking through some epic nature movie. What really hit different was the energy up there. Cheonjedan’s this old sacred altar spot on the top of the mountain, and it just feels special. Like, you get there and it’s quiet, the wind’s blowing, and suddenly you’re like, “Dang… people have been coming here for centuries.” The views? Insane. You can see forever on a clear day, and the air up top is so crisp it should be bottled. I sat up there for a bit just vibing and eating snacks, soaking it all in. It’s not a super long hike, but it feels meaningful. If you’re into nature with a side of history and a whole lot of peace, this one’s for you. Would totally go again.
