We arrived around 5:30 PM to watch the sunset, and it was the perfect decision. The golden light reflected off the water with a cocktail in hand, truly making it feel like a dream vacation. During the day, this place is a chill cafe, offering coffee, snacks, and cool photo spots like the swings and wooden deck. At night, the atmosphere changes instantly. 🎶 The DJ plays music, the lights shine beautifully, and it transforms into a fun, yet not-too-busy bar where you can chat with friends and enjoy the sea breeze. The food is both Thai and international. We tried the pizza to share, which was surprisingly good for a bar. Drinks start at around 150–200 baht, with food averaging 200–400 baht. In the evening, there's a 180 baht entrance fee, which can be used as a credit for drinks and food. It's fair enough. 📍 Location: 10/3 Laem Sai Road, Karon, Phuket Town. It's a 5-10 minute drive from Kata Beach or a 20-25 minute drive from Patong. You can take a Grab, taxi, or motorbike. During the last days of our stay in Phuket, we craved some Russian cuisine. While exploring nearby cafes on the map, we came across reviews for the restaurant "Traktir". 📍21, 1 Luangporchuan road, Karon, Muang, Phuket 83100, Thailand The establishment is located inside a market selling fruits and vegetables. To reach it, you first pass through the fruit stalls, and at the end of the market, you'll spot "Traktir". The cafe is situated on the second floor, featuring tables, a bar counter, and a space for the staff. 📖 The menu is in Russian! Our child was thrilled to be able to choose dishes independently without waiting for us to translate the menu into Russian. 🥘 The first dish we chose was okroshka on kvass. The okroshka was very tasty, reminiscent of homemade cooking, and indeed made with kvass. 🍲 After the okroshka, we ordered potato pancakes and chicken cutlets. The cutlets were quite small, seemingly intended for children, as they appeared to be steamed. 🥟 Next, we tried homemade chicken dumplings. The menu mentioned 16-18 pieces, and our child counted 16 pieces served. The dumplings were delicious and quickly devoured. They were accompanied by mayonnaise. 🦪 The mussels were enormous and served with pineapple. I added a squeeze of lime, and the combination was absolutely delightful—finger-licking good! 🍤 The shrimp were lightly seasoned with garlic sauce. Personally, I found the flavor lacking and felt it could have used more sauce or garlic. Overall, the food here is both delicious and affordable.

📍Promthep Cape, Phuket Province 🏜️ One of the most recommended spots for sunset lovers in Phuket. We took the Smart Bus from Karon Beach (Rawai, passing Promthep Cape) and it took about an hour. We arrived early, around 4 PM, so we got a clearer view of the cape from various points. 🥰👍🏻 Since it was too hot, we stopped at a nearby cafe for a drink and something to eat while waiting for the sunset. While we were at the cafe, we saw more people starting to gather. Around 6:30 PM, we returned to the sunset photo spot. The advantage of this place is that the sunset is truly picturesque. In addition to the sunset, you can also take photos of the square. 🥰😍 They also have many good cafes and restaurants where you can relax before and after the sunset. The downside is that it's crowded, and some people even have to go down a steep hill to get beautiful photos. After taking the sunset photos, you might not get a bus back to Karon, Kata, or Patong. The overall experience was still great, but you'll sweat your way up the curves and steep stairs. These dishes are flavorful yet mild enough for those sensitive to spices, while the accompanying sauces and vegetables offer a taste of Thailand's unique culinary flair. However, the tamarind shrimp soup is not recommended as it has a strong fish sauce flavor and is quite salty. If you're visiting Phuket Old Town, consider stopping by!
