#TravelChat Khun Tan One-Day Trip Alone by Train 🚂 We traveled from Krabi to Bangkok by plane at 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM and then by train 109 from Krungthep Aphiwat Station to Khun Tan by train at 2:15 PM - 2:57 AM. We arrived in Khun Tan at 3:00 AM. My four-legged friend was waiting to greet us. We slept at the station until morning, ate omelets next to the train station, left our luggage, and changed before starting our walk at 7:30 AM. Additional suggestion: You can land in Chiang Mai earlier if you arrive too early, as Chiang Mai Station has a 7-11 and restaurants, making it more convenient. Then buy a ticket for the Chiang Mai - Khun Tan route at 6:30 AM. The price is no more than 50 baht and the trip takes about an hour. We started our leisurely walk from the train station to Y4, not going to the waterfall. The total round-trip distance is about 17 kilometers. Khun Tan Train Station - Park Office: 1.3 kilometers Park Office - Viewpoint Checkpoint: 1.6 kilometers Year 1 - Y2: 1 kilometer Year 2 - Y3: 3 kilometers Year 3 - Y4: 1 kilometer Overall, the route is easy. You can do it both ways, practice for a trail run, or stay overnight. We'll definitely repeat. On the return trip, we took train 52 to Sila At. If you'd like to continue your trip, you can also go to Chiang Mai or Lampang.
