[Geoje] 🌿 Geoje Botanical Garden Jungle Dome
There are two large, dome-shaped botanical gardens in Korea: Seoul Botanical Garden and Geoje Botanical Garden!
I took a day trip to Geoje Island with my family during Chuseok, while visiting Busan. 🚗
📍 Location & Information
3595 Geojenamseo-ro, Geoje-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do
About 1 hour and 30 minutes from Busan, close to Tongyeong.
Parking is limited, but you can use the cafe next to the botanical garden. ☕
🎟 Admission Fee
Adults: 5,000 won / Teenagers: 4,000 won / Children: 3,000 won
Free for ages 6 and under and seniors: 65 and over
As of 2021, admission is free for Geoje residents who have received at least one dose of COVID-19.
🌴 Jungle Dome Features
One hour is enough to fully explore the entire area.
The high humidity inside makes it feel like you're in a real jungle!
Many photo spots, including artificial waterfalls, unique tropical plants, and a giant bird's nest! 📸
No tripods, no food, and no pets allowed.
🌺 Hot Spots
Starting from the second floor of the Jungle Dome, walk through the dense vegetation for a fully immersive jungle experience.
You may need to wait in line for the bird's nest photo zone.
The outdoor walking areas, including the "Hobbit Garden," "Rain Garden," and Cooling Fog Path, are also charming.
☕ Additional Facilities
Café next to the botanical garden: Featuring Geoje agricultural products, this café offers a botanical garden-like atmosphere.
There's also a direct sales outlet, "Gohyang Sanghoe," for agricultural and marine products.
