🧧How to enjoy Hong Kong Disneyland during Chinese New Year🏰
Hong Kong Disneyland is said to be less crowded than Disneylands in other countries, but it gets crowded during the Lunar New Year.
I went on February 15th, a little later than usual, but the daytime attractions were still more crowded than usual.
First of all, be sure to buy an early bird ticket, which allows you to enter the park one hour earlier than usual!
It costs about 4,000 yen, but it's worth it ☺️
Many people head to Frozen Ever After in the Frozen area immediately after entering the park, but the Oken roller coaster (for children) only takes 1 minute to ride, so even if you head to Frozen Ever After afterwards, the wait time is only 5 minutes ✨
After that, if you take photos in the Frozen area or in front of the castle, where there are fewer people, it will be about 5 minutes before the park opens, so you will have to line up to greet Duffy and Friends 🐻
I was able to meet the popular Ol'Mel in just 15 minutes!
Even after the park opens, the attractions are empty in the morning, so ride the ones you want to ride first.
They do body painting behind the castle 🎨
It was a wonderful experience for $89!
You tell the cast what you want, receive a plate with the price written on it, pay at a nearby shop, and then line up to get painted.
The paint can be washed off quickly, but the stickers last until the next day.
I was able to choose a different color for the glitter from my friends ✨
The line for Wonderful Book was cut 30 minutes before because it was Chinese New Year, so I went 45 minutes before and was able to enjoy it in the middle of the front row 📕
The average waiting time for attractions during the day is about 45 to 60 minutes for popular attractions and 30 minutes for other attractions.
Even during the day, if you check the waiting time on the official app, you may have to wait 10 minutes for Grizzly Mountain and Space Mountain, so it is recommended that you check it frequently ✍️
For Momentus, it is recommended to secure a spot behind the flower bed in front of the castle where there are no people 🌷
