Taipei Xiaoqi Lifestyle Tools: The Perfect Interpretation of Japanese Aesthetics.
A store I absolutely love ❤️
While searching for ceramic bowls and plates recently, I stumbled upon Xiaoqi Lifestyle Tools and was immediately captivated by the store's ambiance.
Xiaoqi Lifestyle Tools focuses on Japanese minimalism, with a unique aesthetic evident from the entrance decor to the in-store displays. The store features a variety of everyday items such as bowls, spoons, plates, chopsticks, and cups. Despite the wide range of products, the store maintains a sense of order, making you feel as if you are in a Japanese living space, filled with freshness and warmth.
Each item here combines practicality with design, enhancing the quality of life and making every meal feel like a special occasion. After browsing the store, I really wanted to take all these beautiful utensils home to infuse my daily life with the delicacy and warmth of Japanese living.

Taipei|Jiu Muliwu: The most healing tableware paradise on Chifeng Street, a treasure trove of Japanese tableware that will drive you crazy!
#2月好地方2025
Walking into the old Metateya (divination room), it's like traveling back to Japan in a second. The store is filled with all kinds of beautiful tableware, from Japanese bowls and plates to wooden trays, each of which is full of the warmth of handmade craftsmanship, making people unable to help but appreciate and carefully select.
The most eye-catching items are the branded utensils from Japan, including handmade pottery bowls, Japanese-style tsukemen plates, etc. They are exquisite and full of design, making people feel they have difficulty making a choice. Picking up any plate can add a sense of ritual to your everyday dining table.
If you love utensils, you really have to be careful with your wallet when you come here - because they are so easy to buy! Whether you just want to go shopping or buy new tableware for your home, the old Mudashi is a great place to linger.

Vacation Club Vacanza Club You can shop for accessories and drink coffee leisurely? Vacanza's super thoughtful "Boyfriend Storage Area" makes shopping no longer stressful!
I personally love shopping for small accessories. When I see all kinds of exquisite designs, I can’t help but want to take a few more glances and slowly choose. Vacanza is really considerate. It not only sells accessories, but also has a "boyfriend storage area" so that people who accompany you can have a comfortable space to rest. It is completely considerate of various needs.
We went there on a holiday, and the store was packed with people. It felt very popular, with many people choosing accessories and the atmosphere was lively. In addition to the shoppers, there was also a queue at the takeaway area as everyone wanted to buy coffee and desserts. It was really popular!
The concept of combining accessories and coffee is really unique. I must find time to come back and have a good look next time! 💖

Fuguang Bookstore | A Hidden Literary Haven in a 70-Year-Old House
Fuguang Bookstore is a tranquil space that combines the aroma of books and coffee. This three-story building retains the original appearance of traditional industries on the first floor, while the bookstore is located on the second and third floors. Through the renovation of the old house, it has become a favorite space for literary enthusiasts.
Walking up the narrow stairs on the side, the slightly steep steps make you feel like you are traveling through time to a different world. The industrial-style design and the full bookshelves create a charming reading atmosphere, giving you the illusion of stepping into a library. The best part is that this place is not just a bookstore; it also offers coffee, allowing you to find a balance between the aroma of books and coffee.
If you love unique spaces created from old house renovations or are looking for a corner to immerse yourself in the aroma of books and coffee, then Fuguang Bookstore is a hidden gem you cannot miss. 📖☕✨

Taipei Newly opened four-story old house renovation brunch
This time we came to Sweet & Sour’s new branch, Sweet & Sour Kitchen, in Datong District, Taipei City! This four-story old house located on Chongqing North Road has been rebuilt. Each floor has a different design style, combining both retro and modern atmospheres. For me, the 3rd and 4th floors are modern and simple, which is my favorite space.
Sweet & Sour Kitchen has a very diverse menu, ranging from brunch and pasta to small bites and desserts. #GarlicChickenNoodles The taste is relatively light and the overall performance is a bit ordinary, but if you like light taste, you may think it is just right. #FreshShrimpBreakfastCombination Sourdough bread with fresh shrimp is very good~ Small dishes such as French fries and fried chicken wings are very delicious. As for drinks, the Sicilian drink is sweet and sour with a refreshing bubble, which is refreshing and delicious.
Overall, although the main dishes we ordered this time were a bit average, the snacks and drinks were quite satisfying! The desserts were more well-received online. I was too full from the salty food this time and couldn’t fit in any more desserts. I’ll try again next time I get a chance.
🔰 Garlic Chicken Noodle $350
🔰 Fresh Shrimp Breakfast Combo $400
🔰 Sicily $180
🔰 Rosemary Truffle Fries $165
🔰 Nanyang Fried Chicken Wings S$260

【Taipei Market】 You must go and drink 🍺 Butter Beer🍻
Last time I said I went to Taipei City's Datong District, ate a hidden ramen🍜 on the way through the market, to stroll around, buy a shirt, and give me a new drink😎 cream beer🍺
This special cream beer, really super good drink😋 The top layer of beer, half-thick cream, cream is very fluffy, with the sweet and sour beer, very refreshing summer 🤣 Girls should prefer, beer sweetness moderate, not too sweet, wine taste will not be too impact, paired very well 🥰

Transmission Inn - Cat Midway Cafe Taipei Pet Restaurant Cat Adoption
#100WaysToTravel #TransferStation #CatCafé #PetRestaurant #PetHalfwayHouse #Parent-ChildDay #Cat
The first floor of the Cat Cafe is a counter where peripheral products and pet supplies are sold. The second and third floors have different cats, different decorations, and different store managers. You can see the list of flowers at the entrance (wrong 😆
In the dining area on the second floor, there is also a special money box, which contains a record book of the money donated by everyone. This is a caring corner where customers can make donations to help the cats in the transfer station and contribute to supporting their lives and medical needs. Through caring activities like this, we can all work together to create a better future for cats.
We hope to adopt instead of buy, so that these kittens can find a suitable home.
It is important to note that usually pet meals are limited to children over 12 years old. What makes this place different from others is that there is a "Parent-Child Day" every Tuesday and Wednesday, open to children aged 6-12. Parents are welcome to bring their children to experience the kittens in the halfway house ~ so that they can cultivate a love for animals from an early age.
The cats in the store we visited this time all like to interact with people. Basically every one of them will come to the table and ask for you to pat them or rub against you to ask for a hug. You can also use a cat teaser to play with them.
The meals include pasta, risotto, fried food, desserts, quiches, drinks, etc. Be careful of cats trying to snatch your food. Cats are not suitable for eating these, so remember not to feed them randomly.
✅Promote the concept of adopting instead of buying
Whether you just want to have a cup of coffee, or want to interact with the cats and consider adopting one, "転运栈" is a place full of warmth and love. The store always emphasizes the concept of "adopting instead of buying" and hopes that every cat can find a home that suits them.
If it is not convenient to adopt, petting the cats is also a form of support. Welcome everyone to come and play with the cats🥰

Taipei "Shijia Xian Rou Tangyuan" Meatball soup wrapped in mochi! The best
"Shijia Xianrou Tangyuan"'s fresh meat tangyuan! If you're traveling to Taipei, be sure to try it. Highly recommended!
Meatballs wrapped in mochi
A wonderful balance of chewy mochi, light soup, and well-flavored meatballs
The taste is very easy for Japanese people to eat
I heard that there is usually a line, but
I arrived around 11:30 when they opened and was able to sit right away
I've also heard that their signature dish is the dried noodles in the mixed soba, so next time I'd like to try both
It's a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant

[Taipei, Taiwan] Fluffy and crispy! Cinnamon rolls
\Fluffy and crispy cinnamon rolls/
A shop taken to by a Taiwanese friend!
Cinnamon rolls in Taiwan!? I thought so, but I changed my mind after eating them😊
It's so delicious✨
And no wonder!
It's the second shop of the popular cinnamon rolls, and it seems to have opened relatively recently👍
It's only takeaway, but there are benches so you can eat in front of the shop!
It's right next to the popular shaved ice shop Bingzan, so in the winter they have cinnamon rolls instead of shaved ice😍

Taipei Coffee Shop Dadaocheng Old House Coffee Shop
Hidden in the alleys of Dadaocheng, "Ho Family Coffee HO" is located on the second floor, while the first floor is the bicycle shop opened by the eldest brother of the Ho family. After entering from the bicycle shop and going up to the second floor, the small space is matched with plants, old objects and furniture to create a warm and compact space. The afternoon I recall was beautiful, with just the right temperature and sunshine, just the right amount of coffee and dessert, and the heart-warming conversation between Mother He and another older sister. There, it feels like finding a corner like home in the bustling city where you can feel safe and comfortable.
There are many hand-brewed coffee options. If you like latte, they also offer a special option of + soy milk.
Pudding is not an option that you can have every day. I was lucky enough to have it that day. My favorite part is that the caramel sauce is not too sweet but has a bit of caramel flavor. It is paired with the smooth texture of the pudding. I like it very much.
If possible, I actually hope that he can always keep such comfort and tranquility, but on the other hand, I feel a little sorry for not sharing such a beautiful place with others. Anyway, I like it very much.
Latte / $160 ( + soy milk / $20)
Pudding / $130
Basque cheese / $120

Samo Ondoh, a Korean bag brand 👜
Many people should be familiar with this brand, which is a famous Korean brand. Now, it has a storefront in Taiwan. The branch we went to was the Zhongshan branch. The shop is in a small alley, but the shop itself is quite spacious. There is a corner for checking in and taking pictures. There are bags of every type and color! There are also various decorative items, key chains, and dolls.
We really like the way the shop is divided into color tones. If you like a certain color tone, you can go and choose that zone. There are also English-speaking staff to welcome you. If you are looking for bags from this brand, we recommend the Zhongshan branch. There are a lot of items. Sometimes there are promotions.

A stylish mochi shop that I found by chance when I was trying to hail a taxi ✨
Freshly made milk mochi made to order
6 flavors: peanut, red bean, chocolate, black sesame, taro, and coconut 🥜
They put them in a box in any combination you like. 🩵

[Taipei] Great atmosphere and delicious food, Japanese skewers modern style izakaya - New Trend
New Trend is a Japanese izakaya in Taipei
There are currently two branches, one in the East District and one near the Zhongshan MRT Station.
This time I went to the Zhongshan store for dinner. Take the MRT to Zhongshan Station and walk about 3 minutes to arrive.
The decoration of Xinchuan Zhongshan store is a combination of red, pink and orange
The overall design is simple and stylish, making people feel very trendy
The restaurant has bar stools and sofa seats to choose from.
Sitting at the bar, you can chat with the bartender up close and watch him mix drinks
There are many dishes and they all taste very good!!
I highly recommend the Matsusaka pork lotus and truffle mushroom udon. They are really delicious.
The bartending skills are also amazing. Every drink looks so beautiful and photogenic.
It is strongly recommended to make reservations in advance. The restaurant is also full on weekday evenings. The business is really good!
The average consumption per person is about NT$800~1200
Recommended for everyone if you want to hang out with friends after get off work, drink and chat
You can choose this izakaya with a good atmosphere, excellent food and cocktails!

Taipei City Datong District | Pinglin Hand Chifeng
Pinglin Hand Chifeng
Address: No. 23, Lane 53, Chifeng Street, Datong District, Taipei City
There is no ceiling for Taiwan's hand-shaken drinks. When you think the best has appeared, there are always new tea specialty stores that will surprise your taste buds again. Pinglin Shou is my current ceiling candidate for "tea" drinking. The pure teas such as Osmanthus Oolong insist on not adding sugar, allowing you to concentrate on tasting the boss's persistence. The ice cubes are all tea ice, and those who drink slowly don't need to worry about it becoming bland. The honey fragrance series is not inferior to Yong XX tea at all, and the price is even more affordable! Friends who like to drink original tea and pure tea really must know "Pinglin Hand".

The boss is a Hong Konger who likes retro items.
There are many old items in the store that the owner brought back from traveling around the world, and many of them are still usable! !
The store manager specially brought down the sewing machine that the boss brought back from England to share with us, and it can actually rotate (৹ᵒ̴̶̷᷄́ฅᵒ̴̶̷᷅৹)
The movie posters on the wall are not ordinary posters (so confusing)
It's a real slide hanging on the wall in a movie theater.
The boss really put a lot of effort into decorating this space with his favorite items.
BTW the store manager said that he will bring board games here for everyone to play together.
⁺₊咘咘雷 Put bubbles into American coffee, it looks like latte, the bubble taste is very dense, you can enjoy the taste of American coffee and latte at the same time🤣
It uses Italian gold medal coffee beans. Although I seldom drink coffee, I can clearly feel that there is no sour taste in my mouth after drinking it.
⁺₊Salt Caramel Latte
The brown crumbs on top are from Marie biscuits. Even though it’s a caramel latte, it’s not too sweet.
⁺₊Hat Puff
Because there was toasted marshmallow on top, I thought the puff would be warm, but it turned out that the icy filling tasted a lot like milk ice cream. The manager said it was fresh cream, and in order to keep the puff crispy, it was frozen first.

Taipei Alley Old House Cafe
📍Ho Family Coffee | Taipei Datong District
If you want to enjoy a moment of tranquility in a coffee shop, you can explore the small alleys in Datong District. There is a special coffee shop inside that was converted from an old house. Walk in from the bicycle on the first floor and go up the stairs to the second floor where you will find He Family Coffee. The lady boss is very friendly, and most importantly, the store’s boutique coffee and handmade desserts are of very high quality! The environment layout and tableware selection are also very attentive, and the surrounding plants give the old house a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

Every corner is so cute. The Showa style ice cream shop with a high rate of photos
The whole store is very Japanese and cute. It's great for making photos.
The door is also very good for taking pictures!
I went there originally for the strawberry sandwich.
But we went in summer.
It's the season for ice cream
We ordered a cup of Uji matcha
and Earl Grey tea flavored ice
I didn't expect it to be so amazing
Matcha is ice cubes that are then poured into milk and slowly dissolved
Super fragrant! ! ! ! Their cups are so cute too.
I never thought ice was so dense.
With the rich taste of Earl Grey tea
Beyond expectations! ! !
A must-eat if you're shopping in Zhongshan District!

Repeated Japanese Showa Era Coffee Shop
📍Autumn Wave Famous Song Coffee | Datong District, Taipei
The outside and inside of the store are filled with retro Showa-style decorations, which are worth the wait even if you need to wait on site. There are not many seats in the shop. It is a café with a warm feeling. Although it is full, everyone will enjoy the refreshment coffee in a low voice. I like the taste of Japanese caramel pudding, smooth and sweet is irresistible, plus a cup of ice cream soda, is definitely a great satisfaction ~ green flavor is cantaloupe, very a kind of contemporary characteristic drink. The toffee cinnamon rolls are full of cinnamon, and are good with hand-brewed coffee!

Tea Laboratory
📍Wang Tea Lab | Datong District, Taipei
In addition to finding a lot of great coffee in Taiwan, the local tea culture is also profound. With a history of over a hundred years in tea making, Youji Famous Tea uses a modern approach to convey a tea experience that blends the old and the new. Even if you know nothing about tea, you can still look up the tea usage instructions on the Menu and find your favorite tea fermentation level, roasting severity, and refreshing or sweet taste. You can choose to brew tea with layers, draft tea (carbon dioxide/nitrogen/tea beer) with a bit of fun, or machine-extracted original leaf tea, and pair them with desserts to better showcase the unique aroma and tea flavor brought by different teas. This kind of innovative enjoyment can be felt not only in the tea-making process, but also in the shop's design and decoration, which also took a lot of thought and is worth stopping to appreciate.

Economical accommodation for a couple in Taipei - Changji No.1 Memory Hotel
The journey of unpacking budget hotels continues. Today I have a new travel companion, so I chose to stay in a bunk bed type with a double bed.
We came to Taipei to stay overnight because we are here to apply for visas and prepare to go abroad to introduce more interesting things to everyone.
This Changji No. 1 Memory Hotel is located in the more modern Datong District of Taipei City. It is about a ten-minute walk from Minquan West Road Station. The location is also very convenient for travelers because Minquan West Road Station is a very important MRT transfer station with easy access.
The interior style is industrial, which blends well with the contemporary feel of Datong District. Industrial-style wallpaper is used on the residential floors to enhance overall consistency.
The room was very basic and did not provide any amenities. There was no bed curtain and lacked privacy, but the bed was very comfortable to sleep on. Today was a weekday and luckily there were no other guests staying there, so we both fell asleep quietly and comfortably on the bed after checking in in the afternoon. We slept for three hours and were going to look for something delicious to eat later.
The staff at the counter looked a little serious, but the contrast was immediately apparent as soon as they opened their mouths, as their attitude was very friendly and nice, and their explanation was very detailed, which was a plus.
Seeing some LGBT-friendly stickers on the counter, I also felt that the operator here was someone who paid attention to social welfare and justice issues, which was also a plus.
Overall, I like this place very much and put it on my list of places to visit again! Just remember to bring your own toiletries and slippers next time XD And choose a weekday when there aren't many people, otherwise there won't be any bed curtains, which I can't handle~

【Tella Tella Cafe, Zhongshan, Taipei】A popular retro cafe
Tella Tella Cafe, which has been open for half a year, is still popular among young people. Its charm probably comes from its cute, childlike and retro decoration style!
Walking from the MRT Zhongshan Station to Chifeng Street, you will immediately notice the logo of a girl wearing a red painter's hat and a bright Japanese light box with red letters on a white background. The store is on the second floor, and as soon as you enter the door you're transported back to the 1970s. The floor tiles are made of terrazzo, a common material in old houses, and the furniture is made of wooden cabinets and retro sofas in antique tones. Every corner of the store has become a popular check-in spot. In addition to the slogan "Life is bright and everything is cute" written in Chinese and Japanese on the wall, the small balcony is especially popular, with customers often coming in and out to take pictures.
The store offers both savory and sweet dishes. I ordered an apple cinnamon warm cake (NT$150) and a Capuccino (NT$160), both of which were good choices. After all, it’s an internet-famous restaurant, so you have to accept the noise when it’s full and the indirect impact of people walking around taking photos. Also, remember to call to make a reservation in advance! (Walk-in takes a long time...!)

My dears 👋 Today I’m here to share with you a treasured itinerary in Taipei’s Datong District. The retro streets + casual atmosphere are simply a paradise for check-in enthusiasts!
📍Morning: Treasure Hunt in Dihua Street
Dihua Street is a treasure street in Datong District, full of retro Nanyang style, and every brick and tile contains the charm of old Taipei. Many Baroque buildings from the Japanese colonial era are preserved here, and all kinds of traditional shops are lined up under the arcade corridors. You can visit an old cloth shop and touch the exquisitely patterned fabrics; or go into a Chinese medicine shop and smell the medicinal aroma that permeates the air. Creative markets are held from time to time on both sides of the street, with handmade accessories and vintage items. Everyone wants to get their hands on each one, and any photo they take will turn out to be a retro blockbuster.
📍Noon: Datong on the tip of your tongue
When you are tired of shopping, go and taste the authentic food of Datong District. There are many snack stalls hidden near Yongle Market. You can order a bowl of braised pork rice. The soft and glutinous rice is paired with fat but not greasy braised pork, and topped with fragrant and rich braised sauce. It is super satisfying in one bite. Have another bowl of sweet taro paste ice, the dense taro paste mixed with ice cream will instantly dispel your fatigue.
📍Afternoon: Stroll along Dadaocheng Wharf
Dadaocheng Wharf is a great place to relax and unwind, take a walk along the Tamsui River and enjoy the beautiful river view. The cultural and creative space converted from a vintage warehouse on the shore is worth a visit, as it houses many exhibitions and specialty shops. You can also rent a bicycle, ride along the river and feel the gentle river breeze. This is also a good place to take photos and check in. The sunset and ships in the distance form a beautiful picture.
📍Evening: Literary time on Chifeng Street
Chifeng Street is full of literary and artistic atmosphere, with coffee shops, bookstores and flower shops scattered along the street. Walk into a retro coffee shop, order a latte and a piece of Basque cake, sit by the window and watch the passers-by on the street. The decorations of the shops on Chifeng Street are very unique, with colorful walls and retro signs. You can take photos with a very atmospheric feeling just by standing in front of the store.
Dear kids, please take note of this guide and come to Datong District to start a retro and relaxing trip!
