Cambrils is a coastal town on the Gold Coast
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Tarragona (Region)
Its life revolves around the port, which is dominated by an ancient defense tower. Due to the quality of its equipment, it has been certified with the Family Tourism and Sports Tourism seals.
There is an area of single-family houses at the foot of the town's castle. This is the old fortress of the Villafortuny barony, now a summer resort. Before crossing Las Ramblas, which is close to the sea, visitors will see the Telegrafo de l'Esquirol, a well-preserved lighthouse that was once used to communicate with other places on the coast through flags and lights. From the port, visitors can reach the inland area of the town through the Galbi Avenue. The shrine of El Camí is worth a visit, with a crypt and adjoining watchtower.
Cambrils is considered the food capital of the Gold Coast for its high-quality products and over 150 restaurants that combine traditional cuisine with new trends.
Furthermore, Cambrils’ beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag for their exceptional marine environment. The beach is great for kids, almost no waves, fine sand, and there is a mini club. But older kids can also have fun and enjoy sailing activities, playing on the volleyball and football fields, using the floating platform at sea, and more.
Sports lovers have other options as Cambrils specialises in bicycle tourism, sailing, football and athletics. You can enjoy sports and nature all year round.
