It was a trip to Bruges, Belgium. We visited many places such as Market Square. The heart of Bruges, Markt Square is surrounded by historic buildings, including the Belfry of Bruges. The square has been a central marketplace since 958. 📍Markt, 8000 Bruges, Belgium. We climbed the to Belfry of Bruges for panoramic views, admired the Provincial Court, and explored the surrounding streets filled with shops and cafes. 💰€14 for the Belfry We also visited the Basilica of the Holy Blood. A 12th-century chapel that houses a venerated relic, believed to be the blood of Jesus Christ. They serve mainly Belgian Cuisine. We then explored The Beguinage (Begijnhof). It was founded in the 13th century, this peaceful enclave was home to a religious community of women. It's now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. About an hour by train from Brussels, I visited a Belgian brewery in Bruges 🍺 I visited Huisbrouwerij De Halve Maan, a traditional brewery that has been in operation for 450 years. I booked a tour (one tasting) for €16. You can choose the tour language when booking! →English, French, Dutch I toured the brewery, which smelled of wheat, and when I climbed the spiral staircase, I could see the cityscape of Bruges from the rooftop of the building 🪐 It was so beautiful...! The heart of Bruges at the Grote Markt or market square – it’s one of Bruges’ busiest spots so get there as early if you can to see it before the day-trip crowds arrive. This pedestrianised square (though watch out for horse-drawn carriages😅)is surrounded by historic gabled buildings, many now housing restaurants and cafés🧇🥨🍫☕️ amazing food and beer 🍻 for me in my opinion the best part was getting the Chez Albert Waffles !
