You need to trek for 2 hours to the crater of the volcano which has crystal clear lake. Climbing Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines is a journey that challenges both physical strength and will. In the early morning, we took a four-wheel drive vehicle to cross the rugged volcanic gravel terrain, with dust flying everywhere, and we were excited and nervous. After getting off the car, we started hiking, passing through dry riverbeds and magnificent volcanic landforms along the way. Every step was full of unknowns and surprises. After several hours of trekking, we finally reached the top of the mountain. The volcanic lake in front of us lay quietly in the crater like an emerald. The lake water was clear and blue, and the scenery was breathtaking. It's part of the Luzon Volcanic Arc, and it's best known for its catastrophic eruption in June 1991, which was one of the largest volcanic eruptions of the 20th century.
