Taking advantage of Singapore's National Day, I went on a small back garden trip. This was my first time to a small island in Indonesia called "Batam Island". It is commonly known as the back garden of Singaporeans. Due to the low prices here, it has become a popular place for light travel🚩. This three-day and two-night stay was at this "Woda villa & spa", which was recommended by my boyfriend's colleague. It is the second recommended accommodation in Batam Island by Trip.com The room type we stayed in this time is (Studio Double Room) The price for two nights is about 500 SGD, about 12,000 TWD. It may be more expensive to order from Singapore, but it is much cheaper to order from Taiwan on Trip.com, about less than $4,000+ per night The room was booked three months ago, and there was still only one room left after three months, which shows how popular this place is🔥 There are also many room types to choose from. The weather was not good when we arrived at the hotel on the first day. It was raining outside and we couldn't swim in the pool. August is also the rainy season. The afternoon thunderstorm lasted for a long time. But it still felt very beautiful, especially at night when the lights were on. But because of the rain, we could only take a bath in the bathtub in the room 🛀 to relieve the mood of wanting to go into the water ('ᢦ') Opposite is a large sports center, and next door is the beach 🏖️ There will be music party activities in the evening. Although the sound will be quite loud, we live in a relatively inner location, so it is not so noisy. It will be quiet after 10 o'clock. We chose buffet for breakfast. So far, Ibis Style Batam is the most beautiful of all the Ibis I've stayed at. 👍🏻 The price is very cheap, including breakfast for 2 people. The coffee house is beautiful and modern. 🤩

The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and war. Even though I was redeeming a discount oucher. Sometimes places can treat you differently when you use a promo, but not here. They made me feel completely comfortable, and I really appreciate that Came here for afternoon snacks and ordered their Crispy Cireng and Shaken Espresso Latte. Coffee was great as always! And love the Crispy Cireng! The sweet and spicy sauce complements well with the CirengFood was nice but the americano are slightly too bitter (or acidy) for me. Batam zoo is a interest place where kids can have interacting with pets, to feed and touch them. There is water park as well but we go in late so we just go for zoo area. Is a must to go if you are travel with kids.

Villa setup is super cozy & private, especially with a pool to chill in! Pool was not so private for the room I booked but we're pretty much covered by the grass. Staff was also really sweet and helpful. Only issue was the loud music from the bar at night, not so ideal if you're a light sleeper. Overall, a cute and peaceful stay (minus the bass 🤣) and great value for a short getaway!
