Tokyo Summerland is really perfect for summer fun! The entire park is divided into indoor and outdoor areas. If you're worried about sun exposure or rain, the indoor area has a huge wave pool and water slides where you can play all day, and the space is very large so it doesn’t feel crowded. If you go in the summer, the outdoor area is also exciting, with thrilling water slides and a lazy river that both kids and adults enjoy. Besides the water attractions, there are also amusement rides like a Ferris wheel and roller coaster, so you can switch things up when you get tired of swimming. However, it does get quite crowded, so it’s recommended to arrive early, or you might end up waiting in line forever.

To enjoy summer, I went to Akigawa Valley in Akiruno City, Tokyo to enjoy a tent sauna. I set up the tent sauna and BBQ right in front of the river and was ready to go. After entering the sauna, I cooled my hot body in the Akigawa River and relaxed while listening to the sound of the river babbling. It was the best. It also included the ultimate sauna meal of BBQ if I got hungry. There is also a hot spring nearby, so I recommend that too! To cut to the chase, it's a classic summer spot where you can have loads of fun, but if you don't prepare in advance, it can be quite draining, so be careful. With a variety of indoor and outdoor pools, slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool, it was bustling with a wide range of visitors, from families to groups of friends. There were plenty of attractions, and the water slides were particularly impressive. However, there were long lines for popular attractions. Since we went during peak summer season, it was common to wait over an hour, and to be honest, it was quite exhausting. That's why I highly recommend purchasing a fast pass. It dramatically reduces wait times compared to the regular lanes, and the convenience of not having to wait in line for long periods in the hot sun is incomparable. While it's a little more expensive, it allows you to use your time more efficiently, resulting in a higher level of satisfaction. The facility also has a food court and plenty of rest areas, making it convenient for easy snacks. However, lockers and shaded areas tend to get crowded, so it's best to secure one right after the park opens. Overall, this is a great place for those who want to spend a full day enjoying water activities, but it's important to carefully consider measures to deal with lines and crowds.
