Daegu Travel Food Spot: "Donkachun"
If you visit Dalseo-gu in Daegu, this is the place for pork cutlets and curry.
Inside the restaurant: There are about 10 tables, and each table is equipped with a tablet for ordering.
Menu options include Mazesoba, pork cutlets, curry, and more.
I ordered the fish cutlet. It wasn’t fishy, and the batter was crispy and delicious. The miso soup was decent as well.
Mazesoba and pork cutlets: The pork cutlet was above average, while the Mazesoba tasted good at first but felt overly intense after a while. Curry seems to be one of their main dishes, so I plan to try it next time.
I visited during lunchtime, and the place was quite busy (almost all tables were occupied), with delivery orders coming in constantly. It seems to be a popular spot.
Personally, I wouldn’t call it an exceptional food spot, but it offers reasonable prices and decent food. Among the pork cutlet places in Wolseong-dong, I’d likely return here. I still miss the legendary pork cutlet from Daegu Shinsegae Department Store, which is no longer around.
In any case, if you’re looking for a pork cutlet place in Wolseong-dong, I recommend this one. It may not be groundbreaking, but it’s probably the best option in the area.
