The Maroon Bells are two iconic mountain peaks—Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak—located in the Elk Mountains of Colorado, near the town of Aspen. From mid-May to late October, access by car is restricted during the day—you have to take a shuttle bus from Aspen Highlands.
