This time, we visited Bandung, often referred to as Indonesia's Karuizawa, a popular summer retreat for locals due to its cooler climate compared to Jakarta. 🍃 🚃 How to Get There: - Jakarta to Padalarang Station: 30 minutes by Woosh train - Padalarang Station to Bandung Station: About 30 minutes by local train 🎡 Tourist Attractions: - Kawah Putih A volcanic lake with sulfuric water located about 1.5 hours by car from Bandung city. You can get up close to the sulfuric lake, a unique experience in Indonesia 🇮🇩. However, due to the harmful effects of sulfur, it’s recommended to limit your stay to around 15 minutes. - Rengganis Suspension Bridge Located about 15 minutes by car from Kawah Putih, this local tourist spot features a long, swaying suspension bridge. On the other side, you’ll find sulfuric hot springs with a temperature of around 40°C, perfect for a relaxing foot bath.♨️ - Asia-Africa Conference Museum Situated on the popular Braga Street in Bandung, this museum is the site of the famous Asia-Africa Conference. Held in 1955, the conference aimed to strengthen ties among third-world countries and offers insights into the diplomatic history of ASEAN nations.📚 Admission was free! 🏨 Hotel: Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers Located about 15 minutes by car from Braga Street, this hotel exudes a resort-like atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a relaxing stay in a summer retreat. The hotel offers various activities, including pony rides, badminton, and a playground for small children, making it a popular choice for families. 🥘 Food & Restaurants: - Braga Permai A retro-style restaurant that retains the ambiance of the Dutch colonial era. You can enjoy Dutch cuisine, as well as Western dishes like pasta and pizza. Alcoholic beverages, including beer, are also available.🍻 Live band performances are held in the evenings. - Kopi Toko Djawa (Braga) A café with retro decor. Note that seating is limited, so plan accordingly.⚠️ - Sweet Cantina The most popular gelato shop on Braga Street.🍨 It’s famous for its long lines throughout the day. I opted for a refreshing mango ice cream this time! - Braga Art Cafe True to its name, this café features stylish interiors and is relatively easy to enter. Since Braga Street is crowded and many cafés are busy, this is a great spot to take a break! 🛍️ Shopping: - Fortuna Shoes Located about 10 minutes by car from Braga Street, this store specializes in Indonesian leather shoes.👞 Known in Japan under the brand name Jalan Sriwijaya, you can find items here for about 10,000 yen less than in Japan. If you have time, it’s worth a visit!✨ That concludes our highly satisfying two-day trip to Bandung! Bandung is located about 100km away from Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a good looking cafe with a sense of sty. Every decorative detail reveals the owner's meticulous attention to craftsmanship; for instance, the portafilter is replaced with door handles. Even the restroom basin is reimagined as a cascading waterfall spillway. Moreover, the cafe is adorned with an abundance of greenery. If you are planning to work at the cafe, I recommend choosing a seat upstairs, as the ground floor can be somewhat noisy. I like the interiors and the vibe of this cafe. Delicious croissant, loved the coffee with condensed milk as well. There are some books near the seats if anyone wants to read while having their coffee. It is on the second floor, and it is very quiet. Tried one of their experimental drinks, ice cold Ivy Matcha (Matcha, Amber Juice, Tonic Water & Soda) and it tasted really good. Took a while for them to prepare as they were pretty crowded and I think this matcha drink may also need some time to prepare. Overall a nice cafe. #indonesiatrip #thingstodo #localfood

Their menu is extensive enough for any coffee fan, but curated enough to make sure it's all good. I had the chance to try the coconut coffee and their affogato on the first day. Both were great. The coconut coffee is more lightly fragrant than most I've had. And the affogato features a very special-flavoured ice-cream that I've not seen anywhere else. It goes amazing with the intense coffee and is truly one of those made-in-heaven kinds of things. #indonesiatrip this is located one with accommodation but it is open to the public. The concept is more like a cafe or restaurant because the menu is complete from drinks to food. The facilities are complete, there is wifi and the toilet is very comfortable. The area has indoor and outdoor in the front + back. I really like the interior design because it is unique and the combination of colors is also beautiful. Every angle is good for taking photos but the ambience is definitely not inferior either.

Stopped because I was curious about the swing-shaped chairs, they're so unique and perfect for photo spots. Besides that, there are many other Instagrammable spots here; the place is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating, and there's plenty of parking too. We just ordered a few drinks, a hot latte and lychee tea. The hot latte was delicious, aromatic, and had a good coffee taste, but unfortunately, it wasn't very hot. In the morning, before engaging in various activities, I always make time to anchor at a coffee place in the Cisitu area while ordering a hot cappuccino. I never regret having coffee in the morning at this place, known as "biji kopling," as the cool air pierces the body and then gets neutralized by the intake of hot cappuccino. I remember back in college, every Saturday morning, I was willing to wake up early just so I wouldn't miss the "PANG" menu at biji kopling, which became its own motivation to wake up early.
