📝: Absolutely beautiful. I went during the winter, and the water was still flowing at its fastest, creating a truly natural mist. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot, not too far. The path is quite good, but a bit slippery. The air is cool and refreshing. If you love taking photos of nature, don't miss this.

Doi Inthanon National Park
#TravelChat
Doi Inthanon National Park is another must-see for anyone visiting Chiang Mai. The park boasts numerous attractions, including a botanical garden, waterfalls, camping grounds, and a rice terrace village. There are plenty of photo opportunities.
This time, we invited a friend to sleep in a tent at the "Klang Tent Shop" near the "Son" restaurant. We then ventured into the botanical garden, where you can admire a vast array of plants and trees. We also entered a dome conserving various species of ferns, making it feel like you've stepped back in time to the dinosaurs. This national park is another one I highly recommend.

🌄 Kiew Mae Pan in the morning
✨ Highlights
The sea of mist and sunrise are the main highlights. Seeing the sun through the mist and the majestic mountain range is truly breathtaking.
The weather is cool (sometimes in the single digits). It's a pleasant walk, not too hot.
The lush rainforest is lush with dewdrops and water drops on the leaves, incredibly refreshing.
The atmosphere is romantic and peaceful, with fewer people than if you arrive late.
🕒 Best Time
Start your walk around 6:00–7:00 AM.
The loop takes about 2–3 hours.
You can return later to continue on to other areas on Doi Inthanon.
💡 Tips
Wear a light jacket and sneakers/sandals.
Bring a hat/scarf because the wind is strong on the mountain ridge.
A local guide is required (hired at the entrance for a reasonable price).

From the fern forest to the pine forest, the source of the Mae Awm River
#TravelTalk
On our Chiang Mai trip down from Doi Inthanon, we stopped to admire the ancient fern forest and the pine forest at the source of the water.
🌴🌴The first forest is a fern forest at Siriphum Forest Park. This forest is a collection of plant species, especially ferns, planted together. Each tree is tall and spreads its branches beautifully.
🌲🌲The second forest is a high-altitude pine forest at the Mae Uam Watershed Management Unit. This pine forest on a hillside is lined with rows of pine trees, providing cool weather year-round.
📍When visiting Doi Inthanon, stop by and enjoy nature.

Review: Mae Ya Waterfall, Chiang Mai Province
Review: Mae Ya Waterfall (Chiang Mai Province)
Overview
Mae Ya Waterfall is considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand. Located within Doi Inthanon National Park in Chiang Mai Province, it stands out with its cascading waters over 30 wide rocky cliffs, reaching a total height of approximately 260 meters. This creates a massive, white curtain of water that contrasts beautifully with the lush green forest.
⸻
Highlights
• Magnificence: The waterfall is so wide and high, it feels like a giant "water curtain." At first glance, it resembles a massive "water curtain."
• Naturalness: The surroundings are lush and green, with the sound of water hitting the rocks echoing throughout the valley.
• Great Photo Spots: You can capture a wide-angle shot of the entire waterfall or zoom in on the mist that creates a mist-like effect.
⸻
Travel Experience
• Access: You must drive into the park and walk a short distance, but the path is not too difficult.
• Atmosphere: The cool mist that splashes out makes you feel refreshed just standing nearby.
• Best Time to Visit: Rainy Season (July–October) is the most beautiful and scenic. However, be careful of the slippery path. In winter, the water level remains steady, but not too strong, making it ideal for clear photography.
⸻
Caution:
• The path can be slippery, especially during the rainy season. Wear shoes with good traction.
• Swimming at the bottom is not recommended due to the strong current.
⸻
Conclusion:
Mae Ya Waterfall is a must-see at least once in your life. Its magnificence is indescribable. The images captured on camera cannot replace the feeling of standing face-to-face with the massive water. Perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and tourists seeking a true glimpse of Chiang Mai's forests and mountains.

Chiang Mai travel plan for 3 days and 2 nights 🌾💚
Day 1
Arriving by plane in the afternoon.
Today, we stayed at Moose Hotel. The hotel was excellent. The breakfast was varied and there were snacks available at all times. The room was comfortable and close to One Nimman.
In the evening, we went for a walk around One Nimman. There are many cute shops, beautiful photo spots, and a wide variety of food. It was a great place to stroll and relax.
Then, we went to Suki Tee Noi on Chang Phueak Road, a famous suki restaurant in Chiang Mai. It was delicious. You have to wait in line because it's very crowded. After that, we rested and got ready to explore the next day.
Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll be staying at Pa Bong Piang. On the way, we'll stop at the Young Folk Cafe in Chom Thong District. This cute, cozy cafe has cats.
Then, we'll head to Pa Bong Piang and stay at Dao Ban Doi. It costs 700 baht per person, including dinner and breakfast. The atmosphere is wonderful, refreshing, and completely natural.
Day 3
Leaving Pa Bong Piang, we stopped at Mae Ya Waterfall. It's a large and beautiful waterfall, but you have to walk a bit, about 600 meters.
It was a trip that was well worth the time and was incredibly healing. 🤗

Anyone who's been there knows the breathtaking beauty of the water cascading down from a 70-80 meter-high cliff. Originally known as "Tad Kong Yong Waterfall," it flows year-round.

Legendary waterfall "Rak Jang Waterfall" and the fascinating truth
Have you ever... just by watching a scene in a movie, you fall in love with a place for no reason?
“Rak Jang Waterfall” or its real name is “Pha Dok Siew Waterfall” on the Kiew Mae Pan Nature Trail, Doi Inthanon, Chiang Mai Province is one of those places — a stream of water flowing in the middle of a lush green forest, a place where the quiet nature embraces the heart without saying a word.
It started with the movie “Rak Jang”
This waterfall became known as “Rak Jang Waterfall” after it was used as a scene for the Thai movie “Rak Jang” (2006) — a sweet love story between a city boy and a hill tribe girl. The romantic scene where the two of them go to play in the waterfall together became a memorable image for many viewers.
And when viewers found out that this place really existed, there was a trend of “following the path of a love movie” along with a new name that everyone calls “Rak Jang Waterfall”.
Pha Dok Siew Waterfall is located in the middle of the Kiew Mae Pan hiking trail, which is famous for its complete ecosystem. The point where the waterfall cascades down through the rocks, with a small wooden bridge crossing the stream, has become a dream image for hikers and photographers. The walking distance is about 3 km. Suitable for nature lovers, not too difficult for beginners, and not boring for hikers.
If you are looking for a quiet but beautiful place
