Today, I visited the Chilgok Hyangsa Art Center! 🎶 Located on the slopes of Jagosan Mountain overlooking the Nakdong River, this place is a beautiful space where nature and culture blend together. 🌿 This center is particularly special as it is a traditional Korean music performance hall named after the renowned Gayageum Byeongchang National Intangible Cultural Heritage holder, Master Singer Park Gwi-hee, who was born in Chilgok. It also exhibits her life and achievements. It was truly a meaningful time to feel her great accomplishments and deep artistic spirit up close. 💖 The exhibitions throughout the art center, showcasing the life and musical footprints of Master Singer Park Gwi-hee, were impressive. The place I am introducing this time is Daegu Restaurant, a famous Kalguksu (knife-cut noodle) restaurant located in Daegu. It is located near Chilgok Hantijae. I visited to see the autumn leaves, and this place turned out to be really delicious. Their famous pumpkin pancake is a must-try, so I ordered one to go with the noodles. The sweet pumpkin pancake was incredibly tasty. It takes about 10-15 minutes by car from Waegwan Station to Chilgokbo Ecological Park, and it is a bit far to walk, so it is recommended to use public transportation or your own car. If you use public transportation, you can conveniently get there by taking bus number 11 from Waegwan Station and getting off at Chilgokbo Ecological Park stop. If you use your own car, go north along Waegwan-ro from the station and go straight for about 5km to reach Chilgokbo. There is ample parking space in the park, so you don’t have to worry about parking. Chilgokbo Ecological Park is a nature-friendly park created along the Nakdong River, and the walking and bicycle paths along the river are very well maintained. What I liked most about this place was the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It was really healing to take a leisurely walk or ride a bicycle in nature and feel the river breeze. In particular, thanks to the sculptures and information boards installed throughout the park, you can not only walk, but also increase your understanding of ecology and nature. Also, this is a great place to visit around sunset. The sunset reflected on the water as the sun slowly sets over the river is truly beautiful. It is a great place to visit with your family, or to spend time alone taking a leisurely walk. The sunset seen from Geumnakjeong was so fantastic! If you're a little late, you'll have to come down when it's dark, but since the days are long these days, it might be a good idea to go. How about a beautiful sunset at Geumnakjeong~?

#koreatrip This is the site of an old mountain fortress in Chilgok. It is a place often visited as a trekking course from Jinnammun Gate to Gasanbawi Rock. The forest road is gentle and the surrounding area is shaded by tall trees, so there are many visitors from families such as young children and the elderly. The scenery along the road is similar, but if you climb towards Yongbawi Rock after Jungmun, you can see a wonderful view of deep valleys and rock walls.

#koreatrip Free entrance. Small museum to learn about important events during the Korean War. It commemorates the Battle of Dabutong that took place on the Yuhaksan mountain. During this battle there was a fierce engagement between the local South Korean Forces and North Korean Forces were many local volunteers including police and high school students fought fiercely to save their country. Daegu was the stronghold to stop North Korean Forces that had already invaded 3/4ths of the peninsula with the timely help of the United Nations. Powerful reminder of what Nations can do when they unite with a common goal.
