High in the mountains near Rudbar in Gilan
#hellohalloween High in the mountains near Rudbar in Gilan province lies Salanser, a breathtaking village surrounded by clouds and endless greenery. When you arrive, it feels like stepping into a dream — rolling hills covered in mist, wildflowers dancing in the breeze, and small cottages resting peacefully among the fields.
The air in Salanser is fresh and cool, carrying the scent of mountain herbs and rain. In the early morning, the fog floats gently between the valleys, and when the sun rises, it paints the landscape with golden light.
Everywhere you look, nature feels alive — birds singing, cows grazing, and streams flowing quietly through the meadows. Salanser is not just a place to visit; it is a place to breathe, to slow down, and to feel the pure beauty of northern Iran.
Last summer, I traveled to Gisum Forest, one of the most magical places in northern Iran
#hellohalloween Last summer, I traveled to Gisum Forest, one of the most magical places in northern Iran. As soon as I entered the forest road, tall green trees formed a natural tunnel above me, their leaves glowing in the sunlight. The air smelled of rain, earth, and the sea — because Gisum lies where the forest meets the Caspian coast.
I rolled down the car windows, feeling the cool breeze and hearing the sound of birds hidden among the branches. When I reached the beach, I stood between two worlds — behind me, the deep forest; in front of me, the endless blue sea.
It was peaceful, almost unreal. In that moment, I felt free — like the forest had opened its arms and whispered: “You belong to nature.” I left Gisum with calm in my heart and memories that will never fade.
Hidden deep within the lush forests of Gilan province, Rudkhan Castle
#hellohalloween Hidden deep within the lush forests of Gilan province, Rudkhan Castle stands proudly on a mountain ridge, echoing stories from nearly a thousand years ago. Built during the Seljuk era, this massive stone fortress once protected northern Iran from invading forces. To reach it, visitors climb more than 1,000 winding steps through a green tunnel of trees, mist, and birdsong.
When you finally arrive, the view takes your breath away — ancient towers rise above the clouds, and the walls stretch for more than two kilometers along the mountain. Moss covers the stones, and the cool breeze carries the scent of rain and earth.
Rudkhan Castle is more than just a monument; it is a living piece of history, standing strong against time. Surrounded by nature’s silence, it reminds every traveler of Iran’s deep past and enduring spirit.
Iran, though known for its deserts and mountains, is also home to many breathtaking lakes
#hellohalloween Iran, though known for its deserts and mountains, is also home to many breathtaking lakes that shine like jewels across the land. From the vast Lake Urmia in the northwest to the serene Bazangan and Zarivar in the east and west, each lake tells a story of nature’s beauty and resilience.
In the early morning, mist floats above the water, and the reflection of the mountains creates a scene of perfect stillness. Flamingos, ducks, and herons glide over the surface, painting life into the calm blue mirror. Local villagers often visit to fish, picnic, or simply sit by the water to breathe in peace.
Whether it’s the salty expanse of Urmia or the sweet waters of Alamut, Iran’s lakes remind every traveler that silence can be as beautiful as song — and that the sky sometimes rests gently upon the earth.

Along the Caspian Sea in northern Iran
#hellohalloween Along the Caspian Sea in northern Iran, orange and tangerine trees perfume the air with their blossoms. In spring, the streets of Mazandaran and Gilan smell like paradise. Farmers carefully pick fruits that shine like small suns — juicy, tangy, and full of life. Iranians often make marmalades or use citrus zest to flavor teas and desserts. The northern citrus season is more than harvest; it’s a festival of freshness, when every home fills with color and scent.
For thousands of years, Iran’s nature has shaped its civilization.
#hellohalloween For thousands of years, Iran’s nature has shaped its civilization. The fertile plains of Khuzestan nurtured Elamite cities, while the Zagros Mountains protected ancient tribes. Cyrus the Great drew inspiration from the harmony of gardens and rivers when designing Pasargadae. Persian gardens, known as paradises, reflected the ideal balance between human and nature — symmetry, water, and greenery. The Silk Road passed through Iran’s deserts and oases, where travelers rested under palm trees. From Persepolis to modern Tehran, the heartbeat of Iran’s history has always pulsed in rhythm with its land.
