The scariest bridge I’ve ever crossed 🫣
#outdooradventures
The Nepalese Bridge at La Vallée des Couleurs is an iconic attraction, offering both a thrilling experience and breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty.
▪️The Nepalese Bridge spans an impressive 350 meters (1,148 feet), making it one of the longest suspension bridges in Mauritius.
▪️The bridge is suspended at a height of around 80 meters (262 feet) above the valley floor, providing a bird’s-eye view of the forest, rivers, and waterfalls below. The elevation creates a sense of adventure as the bridge gently sways while you walk across it.
▪️The bridge is built with sturdy steel cables and a wooden walkway, combining the feel of a traditional suspension bridge with modern safety features.
PRO tip: You better go first because I was walking second and there was a woman in front of me who was very scared and because of that we walked for a very long time and behind me there were children who did not keep the necessary distance and shook the bridge a lot 😱

This is a lesser-known attraction among the colorful rock geoparks located in several places in Mauritius. From the entrance, you can pass a pleasant small waterfall, cross a bridge, and walk along the forest path with a valley flowing. In less than 5 minutes, you can see the huge colorful volcanic rocks. You can view it at a glance or go up close to view it, and you can also rent a 4-wheel motorcycle and ride a luge. They say that the various colors come from the inclusion of metal elements. It is a place worth visiting when visiting Mauritius!!!
