Spain Tossa Travel Guide
Hi! Friends, today I want to recommend a super niche travel destination to everyone - Tossa in Spain! This beautiful village has narrow cobblestone alleys, beautiful boutiques and gourmet restaurants, and is a very suitable place for vacation.
First of all, I recommend everyone to go hiking in Cala Llevadors. This trail extends along the coastline to Castillo de Tossa, and you can admire multiple bays and attractions along the way, ending at Codolar Beach. From the cliff, you can overlook the entire sea, the scenery is super spectacular!
Walking in the old town, you can see the ruins of the medieval castle wall that once stood here. There are cafes and delicious seafood restaurants in the castle, where you can taste delicious food while admiring the beautiful sea view.
In addition, don't miss the two popular photo spots in the town. One is the square stone gate, which is also one of the filming locations of Jeon Ji-hyun's 'Legend of the Blue Sea', and the photo effect is super good! The other is a iron door through the bridge hole, behind the iron door is the blue sea, standing here to take pictures, as if in a fairy tale world.
In terms of transportation, it is not far from Barcelona, and it takes about an hour to drive. I suggest everyone to go to Tossa for a day or spend a leisurely weekend, and feel the unique charm of this beautiful village!

Cap de Creus Natural Park, Catalonia, Spain
#mediterranean
Located at the easternmost point of Spain, Cap de Creus is a windswept natural park that blends dramatic rock formations, wild coastlines, and bright blue waters. The landscape inspired Salvador Dalí, and it’s easy to see why—it’s otherworldly. Hiking trails lead to secluded coves and panoramic cliffs, and the nearby village of Cadaqués offers art, food, and charm. Cap de Creus is raw, beautiful, and untouched—perfect for adventurers and artists alike.

A Peaceful Day in Girona
#postandearn
Visiting Girona was like stepping into a quiet corner of Catalonia where history and charm go hand in hand. Just a short train ride from Barcelona, the city felt refreshingly calm and authentic, with fewer crowds and plenty to discover.
I started my day walking along the medieval walls that surround the old town. The views over the rooftops and the distant hills were stunning, especially in the morning light. From there, I explored the narrow stone alleys of the Jewish Quarter — one of the best preserved in Europe — where time seemed to slow down.
The highlight was the Girona Cathedral, with its wide staircase and massive single nave, which gave it a powerful, imposing feel. Nearby, I visited the Arab Baths, a small but atmospheric site that offered a glimpse into the city’s layered past.
As I wandered toward the Onyar River, the colorful houses lining its banks created a postcard-perfect scene. I crossed the red iron bridge built by Gustave Eiffel — a lovely contrast to the historic surroundings.
Girona impressed me with its beauty, calm atmosphere, and rich history. It’s a city that invites you to take your time, explore quietly, and appreciate the details — and that’s exactly what I did.

The tranquility and spirituality of this place, as well as the panoramic views, make it a great spot for a picnic, reading, meditation or sunbathing.
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Girona (Region)
In Puig are the beautiful, fairly well-preserved ruins of the medieval Monastery of Santa Martía, which, as I experienced, few people know is the patron saint of Banyoles. The remains of the monastery impress with their beauty and the elevated view of Lake Banyoles. It’s about a fifteen minute walk from town, or twenty minutes at most, along a somewhat steep path, and you won’t get lost.

Beautiful surroundings and equally beautiful walking routes along the various bays
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Girona (Region)
A very interesting leisurely walk. You can bring some towels, food and drinks and enjoy the different little beaches, provided there is space. As we were at the end of the season the cove was still packed with people. The round trip walk from Platja d’aro takes 1 hour (assuming you want to take nice photos).

This Catalonian medieval village is absolutely enchanting.
Mediterranean Coast Tour of Spain ~ Girona (Region)
This is the perfect place to spend a day or weekend, away from all the hustle and bustle. The streets are spotless, every corner is cozy, and there's a unique charm that draws you in. Moreover, the small shops are adorable, beautifully decorated, and eye-catching, making them ideal for strolling and discovering special items. The restaurants serve delicious dishes that perfectly complement your experience. Without a doubt, highly recommended!

Spectacular surroundings and beaches, nature and sea emerge from all directions
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Girona (Region)
The perfect place to spend time lying on the beach or sitting on the terrace and enjoy relaxation and tranquility. It was wonderful to enjoy the movement of the sea, clouds and sky first thing in the morning and listen to the waves and wind crashing against the waves.
There is a sense of fulfillment here and everyone seems relaxed and carefree. The vegetation, the colors, the laughter of the children, the old fishermen’s houses… everything has a crazy charm. There are a few restaurants with terraces by the beach, but they are popular and it is best to book a table, especially if you want to dine facing the sea. The sunset is wonderful because the platta de Palafrugel acts as a backdrop and embellishes itself with warm and brilliant colors at the end of the day, amplifying it.

There are lots of small steps leading across the cove and beach
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Girona (Region)
This tower, located on the seafront of Calonge, was built to monitor any attacks and is now in a very good state of preservation. It dazzles in all its beauty on the road to Praia d'Aro on the Costa Brava. There are many small steps that cross the cove and the beach, and you can easily walk to the next step. Pure enjoyment Every now and then you come across a beach bar where you can smell the shrimps and squid from a long distance away. Beautiful villa area right behind it with cool tunnel to get there.

Located in the historic town of Besalú, Spain, the Besalú Synagogue is a fascinating relic of the Jewish community that flourished in the area during the Middle Ages.
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Girona (Region)
For anyone who can imagine the daily life of the Jews of Besalu, the Besalu Synagogue site is full of emotion and movement, as well as interaction with everyone in the community out of piety, social integration and religious separation – a piety that Christians would do well to emulate. It is thrilling if we are strong enough to imagine the moment when things took a turn for the worse, when the Jews of Besalú were forced to leave everything and move to Girona, hoping that the city would offer some safety, even if only for a short while. It’s free to visit but the Mikvah (ritual bath) is locked and you need to buy a guided tour ticket which costs less than 2 euros.

One of the town's most iconic landmarks
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Girona (Region)
San Pere de Besalú is a magnificent Romanesque monastery located in the heart of Besalú, Spain, and is one of the town's most iconic landmarks. Founded in 977 by Bishop Count Milo, the monastery has a rich history closely linked to the religious and cultural development of the region. Completed in 1003, the church features a striking facade adorned with intricate carved details and a unique central nave that reflects the grandeur of Romanesque-era architecture. The interior is equally impressive, with its plain stone walls and vaulted ceilings evoking a sense of solemnity and awe. The monastery's octagonal bell tower is a prominent feature, providing a unique architectural element that adds to the visual appeal of the site. For centuries, Sant Pere de Besalu has been the spiritual center and symbol of the town's medieval history. Today, it is a well-preserved monument that attracts tourists attracted by its historical significance and architectural beauty. Whether you are a history buff, architecture lover or pilgrim, Sant Pere de Besalú offers a deeply enriching experience that connects you with Catalonia’s deep religious heritage.

Historic 17th century defense tower
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Girona (Region)
When we visited this town on the Costa Brava, we found ourselves walking through the streets of a defensive tower, as we saw on its panels, this is a town that was severely attacked by Moorish pirates during the 16th and 17th centuries. The tower, 12 meters high and 5 meters in diameter, is part of the town's five defense towers used by people to protect themselves and has been declared a key national cultural relic protection site.

The Land of Three Rivers Welcomes You
Mediterranean Coast Tour of Spain ~ Girona (Region)
Ribes de Freser, sheltered by the towering peaks of the Catalan Pyrenees, is located at the confluence of three rivers: the Rigard River, the Segadell River, and the Freser River. Cerdanya is one of the most beautiful streets, preserving its historical essence and leading to the Church of Saint Christopher. Medieval relics include the castles of Segura (13th-15th century) and Ribes (13th century), with the latter still retaining parts of its original walls.
The charming surroundings, mild summer weather, proximity to Pyrenean ski resorts, and mineral springs make this village an ideal destination for relaxation or mountain sports such as hiking, mountaineering, caving, cycling, horseback riding, and skiing in winter. Particularly noteworthy is the traditional production of bilberry honey.

Skydiving in Barcelona
If you’re traveling to Barcelona, it would be a shame to only visit Gaudi’s architecture! Why not try something more exciting, like skydiving?
❓ Why go skydiving around Barcelona?
The Empuriabrava drop zone near Barcelona is one of the most beautiful drop zones in the world. Jump from 4,000–5,000 meters and take in the entire coastline.
❓ How to get to the drop zone
The Empuriabrava drop zone is located in the coastal city of Girona, about 100 km from downtown Barcelona. You can drive or take the train.
❓ Is skydiving scary?
Not at all. You only feel weightless for about a second, but the wind is strong. Tip: Don’t open your mouth wide when skydiving, or you’ll be shocked when you see the photos and videos.
❓ Is skydiving in Barcelona expensive?
Skydiving at Empuriabrava costs between EUR 299 and EUR 745. The EUR 299 package only includes skydiving. I recommend the package with videos or photos, which costs less than EUR 450.
❓ How to book skydiving
You can book online and pay a deposit. The drop zone is very popular, so you can’t book at the last minute. You need to book at least a month in advance.
If you’re interested in this adrenaline-pumping activity, why not give it a try?
