Looking for a weekend Getaway across the woodlands/tuas custom and go for some cafe hunting with Instagram worthy shots? A recommendation is to head to bukit indah, away from the touristy woodlands custom where there is a quiet little cafe here called Sorella. Sorella is located at 48, Jalan Indah 28/1, Taman Bukit Indah 2, where there are many cute little cakes and instaworthy food too! As its also the Christmas season, the cakes are decorated beautifully in themes of Christmas edition. They also serve mains like your crossiants, sourdough bread, big breakfast and even pasta too! This is hands down the tastiest claypot lau shu fen, mee tai bak or silver needle noodles I've ever tried in JB. The wok hey was evident even before the waiter set it down the table! The runny yolk, marinated minced pork along with crispy pork lard and scallion all added to the aroma of the whole dish. I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed it! Of course, it was the Hokkien Mee that first caught our attention. It's chewy texture was most satisfying and it got more and more so with every spoonful. Perhaps, the least impressive of the dishes we ordered was the fermented red bean curd crispy pork, which was flavourful but each individual piece was a little on the thin side. Overall, it was a good experience and we'll surely be back to try the other signature dishes. Discovered this rare Chinese Wuxia 武侠 theme restaurant at Bukit Indah Johor Bahru by chance . Totally impressed and happy with the food and excellent services offered. Good soup base and wide spread of food to choose from for steamboat, plus wonderful selection of free traditional ice cream , and fruits . Beer and Chinese wine available too . Price is reasonable . This restoran seems like a family run restoran.....and we went there more than 3-times for breakfast and lunch. Everytime is a good meal and we never get tired to sample their food. I can tell they really care about quality as the chef telling their cook to prepare the rice just seconds before he finished cooking the main dishes therefore, the food were served hot and it was delicious....

Opened in May 2021, DaXia Skewers (大侠上上签 ) is the first restaurant in Johor Bahru which specialises in hotpot skewers. The restaurant is elegantly and beautifully decorated in traditional Chinese jianghu style. We felt like stepping into the wuxia world filled with martial artists and swordmasters! The restaurant specialises in hotpots and skewers. With 7 different soup bases and over 100 items on their menu, there is surely suitable food for all diners. The kids enjoyed themselves cooking their favourite food.
