The Paddock is an equestrian center for horse-riding activities in Fraserhill. Located along Valley Road just before the Glen Bungalow roundabout (exit to Kuala Lumpur or Jalan Lady Maxwell), you can ride retired racing horses around a small course (guided by the keeper). You may ride a horse with your kid. If you just ride by yourself, the charge is about rm8 but with your kids around rm10. Friendly service by staff, cheap and amazing scenary. Even a horse named Bobby will response if you call his name 😊. Moreover, you may play an archery located near the main gate. Public toilet (RM0.50 self service) is available at the right along the path towards the horse riding area. One of the must visit place in Fraser's Hill. We had a very satisfying dinner here. We had prawn onion omelette, sweet sour chicken and seafood bean curd. Everything was delicious. The seafood bean curd is a must. The texture is just right. We overheard a group of birdwatcher diners commented that the fishhead curry was good. Portion and price are reasonable. Service was efficient and friendly. The outdoor dining area was great for bird watching. There was a barbet nest in the tree. It was fun watching parent birds flying in and out of the nest. Cindy, the service crew could point out the location of the nest to you. We will definitely dine here again. Can't wait to try their signature Indonesian fried chicken. #fraserhill

Fraser’s Hill is situated 103 kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur and apparently it is Malaysia’s most undeveloped hill station. Sitting on a portion of the Selangor/Pahang border, Fraser’s Hill’s focal point is the tiny village at the end of the golf course and its main attractions is its verdant landscape as well as abundant flora and wildlife. Fraser’s Hill hasn’t changed much from its days as a British colonial hill resort as majority of its buildings featuring mock Tudor-style architecture. Fraser's Hill is one of the top bird-watching destinations in Peninsular Malaysia. Every year, the international bird race is held here for two days and attracts hundreds of visitors.

A nice place for sightseeing. If you are a hiker or love bushwalking, there are so many walking trails you can try. Cons: the way up is a bit adventurous with the risk of land slides especially during raining season.

Fraser's Hill, 100 km north of Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, is a heaven for nature lovers. It is surrounded by virgin jungle on the approach road and is a nostalgic resort which is not too crowded. There are a few jungle trails but be aware that longer ones exceeding 1 km are harder to walk. Steps are steep, some access trails are narrow and have guide ropes that are not anchored in couple of places which can be risky. But the trails are interesting and an experience to cherish for anyone who want to get in touch with nature. 🌿 Weekend Getaway to Fraser’s Hill A quick 2D1N escape from the city! Day 1 We made a scenic stop at Kuala Kubu Bharu Dam before heading up to Fraser’s Hill. Checked into our stay (tip: higher floors give you a chance to see Genting Highlands on clear days 🌄). Snapped photos at the iconic clock tower, spotted a few monkeys 🐒. Tip: At night, the weather can be cold especially if it rains – bring a light jacket if you’re visiting! 🧥 Day 2 Planned to hike one of the forest trails, but rain left the clay soil too slippery – and with the wrong shoes, it wasn’t a good idea. 👟 Tip: pack proper hiking shoes if you plan to explore the trails! Instead, we enjoyed breakfast at Kedai Makanan Hamzah, a local stall serving nasi lemak and curry 🍛, with a lovely flower garden and friendly rabbits hopping around 🐇🌸. 1) The service is ok, and the crew is quite friendly and helpful. 2) The facilities are quite new, considering that it has a unique design of the British-style building, with many tourists visiting the hill town. 3) The breakfast provided in the hotel cafe (as buffet) is average because of its limited variety of food and beverages. 4) The location is strategically located on top of the central town area of the hill, whereby the mountainous scenery is astonishingly picturesque with fresh air and cold breezy weather.

Approximately 3 hours from KL depending on the time you depart and traffic conditions, you will be driving through countryside roads, less traffic and slightly winding and narrowing at certain corners, you will eventually arrive at the top of this hill resort. i particularly enjoyed the stretch of road from the start of the Gap road. This quiet hillside resort looks almost like time stood still and the local people here are so chilled and all look almost stress free. Is this a lifestyle choice? Are they really happy? At least they have super fresh air to breathe in daily and almost zero noise pollution other than the chirping sounds from various bird species here. This is truly a great place for hiking and bird watching.

Recently visited Fraser’s Hill on a weekday and I was pleasantly surprised with the calm and serenity of this hilltop resort. Though there are close to zero tourist attraction other than a few famous one like the clock tower, Allen’s park, horse riding and gazing from a view points through the various hiking trails.
