Surrounded by towering peaks, the lake's crystal-clear blue waters reflect the mountains, creating a serene and picturesque scene. The East Dolomites region has always been a favorite among tourists due to its convenient transportation. Even without a car, visitors can easily reach the lake by taking bus number 422, making it a popular tourist spot. While Lago di Braies is undeniably beautiful, it is also quite commercialized and crowded with tourists. The associated costs are not cheap either. Parking costs €10 for 3 hours, and renting a boat for a picturesque row on the lake is €50 for a private boat for 45 minutes or €15 per person for a shared boat for 45 minutes, which can be quite shocking. However, you don't need to spend extra money to enjoy the lake. A walk around the lake on the trail takes about 1.5-2 hours and offers stunning views. The lake has no fences, so it's easy to walk down to the water and enjoy a relaxing time.

Lago di Braies, (aka Pragser Wildsee in German and Lake Braies in English) is part of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park, in a side valley next to the Val Pusteria. At an altitude of 1,496 m (4,908 ft), the 77-acre lake makes for a wonderful half-day trip while traveling through the Prags Dolomites. On the West side of the lake, there is a small chapel that was built in 1904. The location has a curious bit of history related to World War II, as has the hotel. It’s truly a beautiful lake, but has gained a lot of fame through Instagram and during the summer it can be filled with tourists. Lago di Braies (also known as Pragser Wildsee) is one of the most famous lakes in the Dolomite region of Northern Italy. When I visited this lake, I actually drove into Northern Italy from Austria because I was hiking in that region. The drive was very manageable and extremely scenic. This region is Europe is absolutely stunning and I recommend visiting in Fall. The colours of the leaves on the trees makes you feel like you're in a fantasy as you drive past them. To enjoy this lake to yourself (or with the least amount of people), please arrive as early as you can! Because it is such a picturesque location, this means many people are going to want to come here to take pictures. But only the most serious photographers will come before the sunrises. Also the reflection of the mountains on the lake looks more vivid! If you do want to take pictures, make sure you use a tripod and a remote to help you get the sharpest picture possible! If you're looking to stay near the lake, I recommend staying at Majestic Hotel & Spa. It has great value for money and the spa is wonderful! It was a trip to Dolomites, Italy 🇮🇹 We started our day with a visit to Lago di Braies, one of the most photographed spots in the Dolomites 🙌 The lake’s crystal-clear waters and the towering peaks surrounding it make for the perfect morning ☀️ photo op. We arrived early, around 8 AM, to avoid the crowds and catch the soft light of the morning ✨ The lake is simply mesmerizing at sunrise 🌅 with the colors reflecting beautifully on the still water. We spent about an hour walking around the lake, snapping pictures 📸 and enjoying the tranquility before the area began to fill up. 📍Lago di Braies, 39030 Braies, South Tyrol, Italy After soaking in the beauty of Lago di Braies, we hopped onto the Dolomite Scenic Drive (SS51), which is a breathtaking 😍 route that weaves through the heart of the Dolomites. The drive offers several scenic viewpoints where you can stop for quick photo breaks 📸 One of the most stunning viewpoints is near the town of Cortina d’Ampezzo, where you get an incredible view of the Tofane Mountain range 🏔️ The dramatic peaks, especially with the late morning light ✨ create the perfect backdrop for photos 📸 📍SS51, Dolomites, Italy We then headed to Seceda, a stunning spot accessible via a cable car 🚠 ride from Ortisei. The sweeping views from the top are simply jaw-dropping. If you plan to visit vitally and also a nature lover, “Lake Braies” or “Lago Di. braise” is a must visit 🇮🇹🏔️🌊

#nationalparks Lago di Braies located on the northern part of Italy and it is so closed to the border of Austria and Germany. That region, it is mainly used German and Italian languages. Lake Braies is the national park and you can enjoy to ride the boat 🛶 along the lake and it could takes 30 mins. It is not a big lake so that we decided to walk around the lake in order to get different angles of the view. It is so amazing experience with the beautiful nature and good breeze. For us, it took 1:30hr to finish to explore around the lake. There are also hotels next to the lakes and restaurants. From the Milan with the car, it took 4.5 hrs driving.

As the terrain continues to rise, the full view of Lake Braies gradually appears before my eyes, but there are always trees blocking the way, trying to disturb my sight. Lake Braies is a typical glacial lake with an average depth of more than 10 meters. It is one of the deepest lakes in the Dolomites. As the depth in the center of the lake deepens, the lake surface gradually changes from the emerald green in the corner to blue-green. Under the influence of wind and cruise ships, the lake surface is constantly rippling.

#Overseas travel This lake is as amazing as Lake Louise in Canada. I recommend taking a boat ride on the lake, although it is a little expensive. I visited there in the afternoon and the view at dusk was amazing. But make sure to bring warm clothes. It gets a little cold at night. At sunrise, Lago do Braies feels like it lives inside my laptop wallpaper. The perfect turquoise blue water reflecting all the details of the surrounding mountains. From this little wooden boat, I realized that I love the mountains on the beach. (Well, if only I could get to them without having to climb too far. I love the beach too.
