The building was originally the 19th-century Villa Rocca Bruna, with a row of stone arched water gates at the bottom that perfectly incorporate the natural scenery of Lake Como and the Alps. The hotel is surrounded by a lush botanical garden of about 26,000 square meters with hundreds of years of history. 🌿

The hotel has only 75 rooms, spread across 9 villas. Even the basic room type has a spacious area of 44 square meters and is equipped with a private terrace, allowing you to enjoy the gentle breeze from the lake. The 40-meter-long outdoor floating pool built on the lake is definitely a highlight of the hotel! ✨ The designer was inspired by the local dark Cardoso sandstone and seamlessly integrated the pool into the cobalt blue lake water, making it extremely beautiful!

Genuinely one of, if not the best hotels I’ve stayed in. From arrival until departure Lake Como Mandarin Oriental and its staff delivered an unforgettable experience. The hotel and its facilities are second to none and the onsite team provide an unrivalled level of service. Amazing buildings and grounds, good choice of restaurants, spa, fitness centre and a lake side floating pool all add to its charm. It was a shame to leave the grounds to explore Como as could easily have stayed in the hotel 24/7.
