A not so hidden gem of Spain! If you want “typical Spanish culture,” don’t go here - go to Madrid instead. If you’re open to experiencing Basque culture, seeing beautiful mountains, trying new foods, and hearing the Basque language, absolutely go here. Check out the city center, get a picture with the famous green sign, and drink a kalimotxo.

oh I love second nature 🤪
So we went to see the Basque Country and went to bar for a some foodie.
As in most of Spain you'll find pintxos/ tapas. But when you are in the Basque Country they call it pintos, so don't call it tapas or they'll get angry.
Also, for most of our meals we ate at bars so we got to a point where we spent less then 20 euros on lunch.
Sometimes, if we walked too much during the day, we'd eat a big meal but even then it would not be more than 25 euros.
So in order to save money I highly recommend you to eat at bars.
